In Vista, after deleting the GB-PVR Start Menu folder, then running PVRX2 and clicking "Watch" to view a channel, causes Windows installer to open and configure GB-PVR with this message, "Please wait while Windows configures GB-PVR". Is there a way to prevent this from happening other than always having the GB-PVR folder in All Programs in the Star Menu? Thanks
Edit: Opening Config.exe also causes this problem.
I am having a difficult time mapping channels in HDHR and GBPVR. I've been trying for a few weeks and just can't seem to get it so I have come for help. Basically when I am trying to "Map digital channes to EPG channels" screen, the only channels I am getting are the ones that are currently on the HDHomerun channel I am on.
Example: In my HDHomerun config, I am on QAM channel 5. There are 5 programs in the dropdown below it: 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 802, and 808. So in GB-PVR when I try to map channels, I am only finding those 5 channels each time it cycles through each of the 68 channels. Likewise in my HDHomerun config if I am on QAM channel 6 (which does not have any programs), when I do the GB-PVR channel mapping I do not find any channels. And when I am on QAM channel 80, in GB-PVR I will find 12 channels. So it seems like the GB-PVR is not changing channels well.

I have my cable jack split into two, one going into #0 and one going into #1 of the HD Homerun device.
The channels come in fine through the HDHR software.
The driver loads when I plug the device in, and the USB device shows up in the Hardware List (can't remember exact name in English).

I've mostly tried this on a clean Win XP SP2 + all pre SP3 patches with nothing more than GBPVR and the Cinergy drivers installed.

I realize, I haven't really paid attention to what decoders and multiplexors I'm using. I'm not even sure how to find out or where to look. Or, if I wanted to change them, where would I go?
I've been reading all the threads, and trying lots of things, but I'm stumped. I can get the GBPVR interface on my lovely new PCH, and I can do anything that does not require streaming from the server, I think. My photos look wonderful at the higher resolution than the mvp gave, and web services like weather and webcams work fine.
As far as I can see from the various logs, the server is starting and accessible through my firewall, so it seems like a video format/resolution problem (or maybe not, as I can't play music either). And, I have to configure the resolution in config.xml, the video output in the PCH settings, and feed the right parameters to mvpmcx2, I think? I cannot get this right :mad: Result is always some flashing and then a black screen.
I have a beautiful 42" full 1080p panel connected with an HDMI cable to the PCH. And also, a husband who is losing any confidence he ever had in my ability to make this all work....
Hi all I have a stuttering problem with my mvp it will play for about 4 sec. then stop for 1 sec. I went and read all the posts in Disappointing MPEG2 decoding and tried all the suggestions in there! (replaced the quartz file ) and still no luck This problem does not happen when I watch the recorded shows on my computer, all works fine ! I have been having alot of bad luck, first my dsl modem went bad then my router quit and in all of this trouble, microsoft wanted me to re activate windows because they said my hardware had changed !(yea right ) so I have a lot of new things where the trouble could be. I have a thought it might be my new router but haven't a clew where to look in my setup for the linksys router; its a wireless g broadband with a 4port switch (WRT54G2). Its configured as a gateway (humm) don't understand that but at least I can get on to the internet Any thoughts on fixing the stuttering problem would be greatly appreciated Ps I have recently upgraded to the latest gbpvr but that was in trying to fix the trouble with the mvp stuttering
I tried searching forum for an answer and not seeing the solution....
Fresh installed 1.2.13 (no prior versions) with default settings all the way. New to this product, so not learned in the GBPVR'ing ways yet. Setup new source as Hauppauge HD-PVR / Component inputs. All codecs are set to ArcSoft in the config screen.
Launch into LiveTV and I get a fine image with no audio. Click Pause and resume a moment later and voila I have audio. Also, I must add, trying to resume from pause was tricky - seems like it was stuttering a bit before resuming the video (with audio). Sometimes this would crash out of LiveTV back to main menu.
For any files with multiple audio tracks they will all play. I found a thread from 2006 which mentions this problem, could not find anything else in the forum...
