Can someone tell me if GBPVR or any PVR software, add-ons, plug-ins, etc will allow me to use the EPG feed from my Dish Network STB without having to subscribe to a third party source like Schedules Direct? I'm already paying for an EPG stream with my Dish subscription, correct?...so is it just a matter of propietary software that Dish uses that keeps me from tapping into it?
I've noticed lately since upgrading to 1.2.13 that I don't get the option to Resume or Restart when I attempt to watch a show that I'd already watched some of. In particular it seems to only happen with shows I've recorded since upgrading. The ones I recorded with the previous version work fine.

I'm having problems getting GBPVR to work with my Cinergy C PCI HD card.
This is what I added to my bda.ini file:

When I try to map channeld (scan) it fails to initialize the device (it is found when I try to add it).
In 96.08 when using the MVP, short skip would fast forward rather than skip forward. This was considered a bug and the previous behaviour was restored in the next release; however, I really liked the fast forward operation! :p
Any chance of providing an option to choose between skip and fast forward?
I have six tuners (4xdvbt + 2xdvbs) in my media pc and would like to
change the priority of them so that gbpvr will choose the dvbs
tuners before the dvbt ones, as the dvbt ones don't have very good
siganl strength. If I move the tuners up or down in config it does
not seem to remember the order because when I go back in to config it
has rearranged them.
Any ideas?
For some reason, since installing the new version of GBPVR, I cant use my program guide.
I use an EPG grabber (MegaEPG) which to my best judgement is producing a good EPG XML file.
Still, even after a complete deletion of the epg data from GBPVR and then manually updating it through the config app - I still get "No Show Details" in the guide.
I can see an error in the log - but I dont understand it. The log file is attached. Can anyone help?
Is there a way to duplicate EPG listings for the Local QAM channels I receive and the same channels I receive OTA with a dual tuner setup?
I have a 1600 set up for NTSC and QAM and that works fine, I have the QAM channels I want mapped in the correct order and they have EPG information. Then I have a 950 that I use for OTA I added the channels to teh bottom of the channel list 76-80 and I cant find a way to add EPG info to them.
There are a couple of issues that have come up recently in the forums that probably should be added to the installation guide in the wiki...
I may be missing something silly, but how can we edit/add to the wiki? I would add/change if I could. Do I need added permissions?
Here is what I feel should be added:
1) Mounting a share for DVD isos and other video files. In the words of Martin from the forum:

Because DVD can't be streamed via the normal GBPVRRecording Service you need to map a network drive from your PCH to a shared folder that contains the source "DVD". It can be tricky because special characters need to to be marked with a back slash (\). I will explain by way of example.
Let's say you have a folder called "D:\My DVD Collection" that you want to play DVDs from using GB-PVR. First you make this a Windows share which I will name dvds because I'm lazy. To set it up add the following lines into script.cgi
mkdir /mnt/D:\\My\ DVD\ Collection
mount -t cifs //mydvd_IP/dvds /mnt/D:\\My\ DVD\ Collection -o username=guest,ro
That looks ugly but you only have to set it up once for each location. Notice that each \ is doubled and each space is also preceded by a \ Other characters that need special attention include [ ] { } ( ) " ' and & If you do use these characters it is probably best to test using telnet avoiding some of these characters is best.
Once you restart telnet.html, you can confirm that it worked via telnet using this command
ls mnt/D\:\\My\ DVD\ Collection/
If it worked you you should see the files root of your collection. You can specify any username and password too the files do not have to be in a guest account.

on the mount commands in the scripts and if you use modified scripts (such as the USB scripts by pBS), this could need modified as well.
Ive just installed the latest release of GB-PVR (which went very smoothly might i add) but i cannot seem to view or change the settings screen from the menu within GB-PVR.
I checked the known issues list but its not there. Any ideas?
Can anyone else tell me if I can start the auto-search update function from the command line (or any other way). I would like to add it to a scheduled task. This is because sometimes the auto-search seems to miss a few items that are in the EPG. In the config Tab it is possible to click an update button, so i guess it must be possible.
When does auto-search actually run, it is connected with the epg update of GBPVR right?
I could do this command line: "PVRX2.exe -UpdateEPGOnly" But i rather just update the auto-search, as I always see that the search may miss some schedules at first, but that the EPG is loaded fine into the database by GBPVR.
