I download and installed gbpvr program on my Toshiba notebook,
but I am unable to use it because it does not support ASUS - My Cinema U3000 Mini USB Digital TV tuner.
Is where any work arounds?

I have winlirc installed and configured to change the channel on my STB. It works perfectly from the winlirc test window.
How do I configure gbpvr to pass the channel number on to winlirc?
Is it supported natively or do I need another app to pass it on? I tried HIP but gave up in frustration, it just gives an error.
After trolling though many posts it looks like an exe called "digits" combined with transmit.exe was working at one point.
Is this still the best way? If so does anyone have a copy of digits.exe?
Since i have a HVR-4000 which is compatible with DVB-S2 - does this mean it would work?
I suspect i had read sometime ago that GB-PVR might not support DVB-S2 as yet? Am i incorrect?

Appears Sky have fired up two DVB-S2 transponders on Optus D1. Sadly I
can't scan them fully as I don't have a DVB-S2 compliant card at the
moment.

There is also a new SD service on 12608 which is probably a promo to

Even though I can tune into E4 using Hauppauge WinTV, GBPVR refuses to detect it on C45 from Sandy Heath, UK. All the other TV channels on this multiplex including ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, Channel 4, More 4, Channel 4+1 are there but not E4.
I have tried upgrading to GBPVR 10213 from version 10209 but that can't pick up E4 either and always keeps crashing whenever it begins to scan multiplex 6 so I had to uninstall it and revert to the previous version.
See attached logs. I've included every long from when I tried to scan for E4 and when GBPVR 10213 crashed an I reverted to version 10209.

using the filter check i do see the bda tuner1 and 2 and the bluebird wdm TsCapture1 and 2
When I set it up I can use the EPG but when I goto map it on either I get an error saying
Gbpvr was unable to start the BDA device you configured, check the device is properly configured, and not already in use.
In the safely remove icon in the task bar you can see the two USB capture.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks to Martin I have been having fun with gbpvr on the popcorn
Just one hassle I cant playback ISO
I added the lines
mkdir /mnt/D:\\iso
mount -t cifs //192.168.1.1/iso /mnt/D:\\iso -o username=root,ro
in the script cgi. Im not sure where to put these two lines but I added them after the echo to telnet started on port23.
I am direct connect from my pc to the popcorn
I added the share folder but nothing happens.
Any thoughts?

I am trying to run UltraXMLTV for the first time and when I try to load UltraXMLTV.exe I get the error message "Run-time error '339: Component 'MSINET.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid". When I click the "ok" box, it goes away but UltraXMLTV does not load. I am running this on a freshly reformatted Windows XP Pro (with SP3). Searching my hard drive, I find no file named MSINET.OCX. Any suggestion on why this file does not exist/is not registered and/or how to get a copy of it and register it? Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated

Been using the Popcorn in the bedroom for a couple of weeks now hooked up to gbpvr. I guess having it hooked up to a 26" LCD tv (as opposed to my main tv being a 29" CRT running off composite).
But 720p picture from the pch, just makes everything look so good!!
And it's pretty solid, had a couple of instances where I had to power it off (and couldn't get the remote reboot to work) but other than that it's been good.
