First off I'm still pretty new to GBPVR but I really like what I have seen thus far. I'm especially intrigued by the whole plug-ins idea. Anway, I have a question, I came from using FusionHDTV, in this app there is the ability to basically define a maximum file size for recordings, when that size is reached a new file is created and continues on with the recording. An xml index is used later if these need to be reconstructed. I could not find such an option in the regular install, and am not aware of a plug-in that also does this. I am willing to develop this myself but could I get some ideas on where/how I should get started. Im capable developer in c#, but have never done work with video. Any help tips, or pointers would be appreciated. thanks

I have a Hauppauge DVB-S2 card and as yet have had no success in getting the ITV HD (aka 10510) on Eurobird 1 (11426,H,27500,23 according to KingOfSat).
Has anyone managed to get this one to work?
Even the PowerCinema 5 bundled with the card fails to find this channel, although it (a) gets BBC HD no problem, (b) will recognise and list the channel "10510" in the "Add Channel" single transponder scanning feature - but then fails to abide to the selection (choosing Brit Shorts for a second time).
PVRX2 finds BBC HD ok (and its variants), but won't find ITV HD - indeed it too will only list "Brit Shorts" on the 11426 transponder frequency. I also tried bending it to 11428 to no avail.
Were any GBPVR users affected by this? I don't watch AG, so I don't know, but it's scary none the less.
I know GBPVR itself wouldn't give a rats arse about the broadcast flag, but I wasn't sure if whatever Windows components it depends on would - If it does, would staying on XP SP2 prevent issues?
I have looked in the forums and I can find no clear cut answers for what I'm looking for.
I would like to know how to set comskip to ignore some channels (301, 302, 303, 304 & 305)
I would also like to know how to use Skip Tools to fine tune comskip.
Lastly, I would like to find out how to cut the commercials out to make my files a little smaller.
I don't necessarily need this all to happen automaticly, because of the problems I've been having with comskip, I'd like to make sure I'm not cutting parts out of my shows before the comercials are deleted, also I will only be cutting them out of shows I plan on keeping long term.
If anyone has a clear cut answer, it would be very helpful.
Since I had a VERY difficult time figuring out how to get DXVA acceleration on my 780g chipset this is how I did it (from a clean install, gets harder with codecs already installed).
Goto the download page for Media Player Classic HomeCinema...
Download the Mpeg2DecFilter and MPCVideoDec filters for your OS. If you want .mkv support go ahead and grab the MatroskaMuxer and MatroskaSplitter as well. (Make sure you get the right 32 or 64 bit version).
Extract or copy all the files to c:\windows\system32.
For each file run from a 'cmd' prompt: regsvr32.exe <whatever.ax>
Install the latest ffdshow (make SURE you disable x264 and mpeg2 support, so it doesn't try to use ffdshow for those codecs).
If it works you should see less than 10% utilization on most x264 720p videos, even with .mkv files and it's all open source.
Tips:
Download the MPC-HC standalone player and try the file in there, this does NOT use the directshow installed (they are all built-in). This is great to see what performance and playback should be like.

Is there a plugin that allows a slideshow to show pictures in random order or is there a way of randomizing the order on the existing picture library.?
I seem to have a strange issue with the EPG Update. Saturday morning I noticed my system was lagging big time. Dropped in via Remote Desktop to find about 20 copies of GBPVR.exe running. Took ever to get them all shutdown. I noticed that this happens consistently when my batch file gets to this line:
After various testing I found that this happens not only at the 2am scheduled event, but also when I run Update EPG from the System GUI, from the system tray, and even from the command line direct. If I launch it from the GUI I noticed its restarting the entire batch file with each iteration (multiple cmd.exe in task manager). I only let it get to about 3 iterations in the screenshot because the last time I let it get out of control to 10 or more instances I had a hard time getting control back from the system and had to hard reboot much less screenshot it.
Also of note, at one point I suspected a corrupt EPG database and deleted it to let it rebuild again from clean.db - same results.
