My problem i can see gbpvr pick-up the stream both on the server and client but nothing is displayed. pvrx2 not responding or a completely transparent screen.

I use ts-mux on both server and client.

I installed your great piece of software about 5 months ago but have never managed to fix my problems with the EPG update. I have tried numerous "fixes" that have helped other people with similar problems, and have even reinstalled the software a few times. None of them, however, have fixed the problem.

I am using GB-PVR version 1.2.9 with a Hauppauge Nova-T-500 tuner card on Windows XP SP2 (vista theme). When I try to update the EPG, either through the config or PVRX2 I always seem to hang after the first 60 seconds have passed, on 1 second:



As a result of this, the TV guide in GBPVRX2 doesn't work and causes the program to freeze up.

The only time I have managed to get the EPG working properly is when I first installed the program and ran the update, everything worked perfectly. The method I am using for my updates is "DVB EPG Broadcast" and I live in the UK. Since it may be something to do with my setup, here are some screenshots of it:

As you can see, I have 2 tuners set up both on the same card since it is a dual tuner card and have the Device type set to "Hauppauge Nova-T-500 (1)" for the first tuner, and "Hauppauge Nova-T-500 (2)" for the second". On the last screenshot you can see 2 others that it says are installed, should I be using them?

I am sure that you will be wanting logs of some sort, so tell me which files to upload and I will do it.

In this part of the world the HDTV standard is DMB-T/H. Recently, there is on PCI TV card for this DMB-T/H standards. What allows me to judge if this card will be supported by GBPVR?

I am totally lost here. I figured getting the remote working would be easy (yeah right!).

Have an Antec Fusion Black 430 (Veris family) which has an iMon vfd/ir unit. Tuner card is a Hauppauge HVR-1250 (don't want to use the external IR cable) which came with a remote control.

I would have thought it would be as easy as loading the iMon software and starting up PVRx2 :mad:.

What am I missing here? Is there some method to see the IR capture in debug mode, just to make sure it is working at all?

Thanks to my cable company (Cablevision) "moving" a whole bunch of my channels over to digital in the night without any compensation etc. Congratulations Cablevision; you've just lost another customer!

I'm now left with OTA digital and my Captive Works CW800-PVR which I have connected to the S-Video port of my WinTV-USB2. Only problem is that I cannot work out how to control the SatRX so that I can watch TV!

I know that I can utilise the IR blaster feature of the USB2 and indeed have connected it up with the blaster bit taped to the front of my SatRX. Unfortunately I don't know where to go next.

I've tried using the Hauppauge app to control it but it doesn't have any commands for my SatRX (although my Pansat was in there so will be able to make use of this downstairs).

Am I SOL or just not clever enough to work it out?

As dumb luck would have it I do have a couple of IR blasters that are supported by GBPVR. If I used these how would they work?

hmmm,seems i can't get pvrx2 to add it's controls when i play dvd...?!
graph shows just dvd navigator,decoders, and renderer...
aren't there supposed to be the osd and control filters in there?
i tried several decoders...same thing...same with evr...
dvd plays but no control whatsoever, have to kil pvrx2 to get any controll back..
hoping there's a patch i missed somewhere..

anyone have a problem removing the MVPNetworkTweaks page from the wiki?

it has a single registry edit that could cause more harm than good (not that I think its a bad edit, just registry editing in general should not be done by most people and can have some pretty disastrous effects)

I bought this remote for £5 from ebuyer the other day. Works right out of the box, no drivers or anything. Thought others may be interested.

when I stream a video EWA sends a file which tells my PC receiving the stream which IP address and port to use, is there any way I can get EWA to send the FQDN as in hostname instead of the IP address? as the IP address is a private RFC1918 address it would make it much cleaner if I could use a DNS resolvable name instead.
