Now that I know how to skip forward, I'm looking for more playback functionality.
Is it possible to fast-forward i.e. make playback at 2x/4x speeds (like DVDs or good old VHS players do)?
So, I'm having a discussion with Ted the Penguin in the support thread for my wee plugin. The relevant bit starts here.
Summary: Ted is using PCH, and the rendering of the controls is being a bit... goofy.

Owning neither a MVP nor a PCH, I'm somewhat in the dark here, so I'm hoping somebody here can provide some guidance.
I did check to ensure that needsRendering is returning true (it is). Additionally, the number of controls returned in the GetRenderlistArray is appropriate.
Is there something special I need to do (or not do) for MVP / PCH clients? I'm aware that the API does provide an indication to plugins if the player is an MVP client, should I be taking this nugget and putting it to some good use?
I'm grateful for any guidance any of you might be able to offer, as right now I'm at a loss.
for those of you who don't exactly like the idea of using simple file sharing/the guest account (and/or couldn't get the damn thing to work that way!) here are the scripts I used for the PCH share.
I've noticed a problem when I set the system to timeshift mode: I can never return to the previous channel. All I get is a black screen. I then have to go to another channel before I can get video again. This appears to happen only with my BDA capture source, the analog source works as expected. This does not occur in livepreview mode either. I like to use timeshift mode because it allows me to be a little more flexible when I want to rewind something.
I've attached the logs where I tune to channel 136, then switch to 112 for a while and wait and then attempt to go back to 136. All I get is a blank screen.
I'm using the cyberlink muxer in this example, but I've tried with the same results the dvr-ms, ATI and built-in TS muxers.
My YApi2XML listings suddenly stopped working in late April. I assumed it was a temporary problem with the Yahoo service but it still isn't working almost a month later, and I don't see anyone else in the forums experiencing the problem.
The attached yapi2xml_log.txt file says that the schedule file is corrupted or not found. Any ideas on how I can resolve this?
So that leaves me with £50 on a capture card. Preferably I would like a dual digital tuner. Can anyone recommend one?
I know the HDD is a little small but I have a spare that I can put in. With this set up is there anything else I would need, like video card or sound card?
I have two tv tuners on my pc.
First one is hvr 4000 which is working great.
Now I am trying to add my other tv tuner pvr-150mce but no luck.
I can add the 150mce but i dont know how to scan channels and map channels to epg.
Is there a good help how to add the analog tv tuner and get epg working??
