im trying to install GBPVR on my system witha hauppage dvb-s2 card pointing at Astra 2D (28.2e) this card works however it crashes whenever i scan for channels, it crashes on a different channel each time.
Ive speant a few hrs searching the forums to no avail. i am running vista home premium sp1

All works GREAT!!!!!
However, what I want to do:
Somehow be able to RDP into my GBPVR PC with my laptop, pick mp3's then send them to the MVP for playback.
What I tried:
RDP into Windows XP PRO via my Laptop.
PVRX2.exe (VMR9 is not supported, that makes sence, it's an RDP session)
- I've chaged that to overlay, but that is only for GBPVR.exe
Run GBPVR.exe, displays on my laptop, Music Library II not on menus. Even if it was, the mp3's would play at my GBPVR PC, and not at my MVP.
Does such a plug in exist to allow you do to this?
I've probably hit a wall here, but if anyone has some type of solution to play mp3's at your GBPVR PC, but have the music sent to the MVP for playback, (Even if it's not GBPVR eeeeK) I'd be willing to try, just for the convenience.
my only wish is for evr aspects ratios like vmr has...[evr seems to be the way of the future] as many shows are still 4-sided-boxed so zoom beyond borders is needed bad..

oh and better looking osd text...looks smooth in vmr, but a bit blocky in evr...

So i'm a newbie. So far I've gotten gbpvr to work with my pvr-150 card. I alsow have yapi2xml working. I can watch live tv, pause, skip, replay and all that good stuff. The problem i'm having is that when i go to the tv guide and select a program to record....i come back and the program hasn't recorded. I check the folder it is suppose to record to and it is not there. I've even tried doing quick record and gbpvr will tell me "you must watch this program if its recording" In hte main menu the info box to the right will even say it is recoding xxxxx show. but when its done there is no recording in the recordings menu or the folder on my hard drive
I'm using GBPVR v1.2.9 on my desktop PC & have just started to access it using the web interface, from my eee PC which has a screen resolution of 800x 480. The eee PC is running Firefox 2.x on the default linux distribution(Xandros)
Annoyingly the web page content is just wider than the screen which means I have to use the horizontal scroll bar to see the whole page. Is there a way I can set the server up to fit this screen width. Curiously running either IE or Firefox under windows, I don't have this problem - I can resize the window to just less than 800 and the web page resizes to fit without needing a horizontal scroll bar.
I'm using the default theme for the web server but the problem is the same in the other themes.

Using 1.2.9 (upgraded from earlier version ) and a hauppage remote control. The Prev.Ch button no longer does what it used to.
It just brings up an onscreen overlay showing the channel information
I'm having problems trying to schedule a recording from the client. When I select a program to record, the client will highlight the program in red in the guide, and the program appears in Pending Recordings as expected. The server also highlights the program in red and shows the program in Pending Recordings, so it looks as though the program is actually scheduled to be recorded. However, the recording does not take place and the program is still listed in Pending Recordings long after the recording should have finished.
In the attached log files, I used the client to schedule "Shopper's Showcase" to record from 11:00 - 11:30 AM, then exited the client PVRX2. A few minutes later, I used the client PVRX2 to schedule "Word World" from 11:30 - 12:00 PM. I checked the Server, and both programs were listed in Pending Recordings.
At 11:45, I checked the server and noticed that "Shopper's Showcase" did not record and both capture sources were sleeping, indicating that "Word World" was not being recorded either. Then I rebooted the server to install a Windows update. Later I noticed that when the server came back up, it did record the last 6 minutes of "Word World". "Shopper's Showcase" was not recorded.
I think I have ports 7967-7968 setup correctly, but don't know how to test them to make sure. Both client and server are running WinXP and PVRX2 1.2.9.
I think I have found my answer by reading this post http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...erid=18180. I am having problems using the s-video tv out on my ATI video card. I get a rolling picture, no color, very fuzzy. Can some please confirm that the above post is what I need to do? Or do I need to try something else? I am trying to set it up on my crt monitor and then move computer to where the tv is located.
