In my web admin interface, I have a duplicate entry for "Choose Saved Search..." I cannot delete the second one. It is the 4th entry below the real one. Any ideas on getting rid of it?

Update: I am using GB-PVR v1.2.9, but this entry has been there for a while, probably since 2 version ago.

I've just tried setting up gbpvr on my PC without any luck using the installation and survival guide.

I've gotten the telnet to work so my SMB settings etc are obviously correct.

However, when I select gbpvr off the "telnet.html" menu, my screen goes black and my PCH locks up.
I'd originally named my share "popcornhour" but changed it back to the standard "mvpmc" in case that was the cause (it wasn't).
I've tried turning off my firewall entirely, and that's not it either.
The files were edited with vim (vi for windows) so they're in "unix" format.

I've looked at the error logs, and they don't mean anything to me - I did spot this though :

The text in the TV Guide with PVRX2 is (still) scrambled. I use Amontillado for loading the EPG data. With the old UI however, I don't have scrambled text in the TV Guide (see attached file).

How do I solve this annoying problem in PVRX2?

Last night I had a recording set (midnight). Went to bed shortly after 11, checked sched, set ok. No conflicts in the pending. Shut off pvrx2 (left pc on w/gbpvr running in tray). Woke up this morning no recording. How can I fin out what happened, is there some sort of error message I should get when no recording was made? Did it record and it was lost in space somewhere.

Hope someone can help.

In config I've set xvid to all the post processing options
In misc2 tab I've set BDA Multiplexer to Cyberlink

I've fired up PVRX2, Video Library, select the .dvr-ms file, click transcode, box pops up with start, I click start box goes away and nothing else appears to happen.

I've managed to get this far searching through the wiki and forum for the last two days. Now I'm stuck.

I've zipped up the log directory if that would help anyone.

Due to revolutuonary new optimised and efficient software development techniques. I am pleased to release version 2.1 only 24 hours after the release of 2.0!!!

Ok enough of the spin doctoring.

I found an issue with 2.0 and multiple paths which affect most emulators I have corrected this issue and released it as a 2.1 as only 5 people had downloaded 2.0 at the time I removed 2.0

So please pass back feedback so we can get GameZone2.x stable ASAP then I can start adding more features, I have an idea for a radical new UI look that I am considering developing this will require some close work with a Skinner as I have next to zero skills in skinning!!

Any skinners have some time to assist in a slightly different look?

I've had disappointing results with my PVR thus far and am wondering if people could comment on my PC/specs.

I don't necessarily want a hard-out HTPC.. I want to be able to record freeview via DVB-S and watch a recorded program at the same time OR record something and surf the net at the same time OR watch a recorded program and surf the net at the same time. I realise that is probably a little bit like a friend of mine who said "I don't want much from my laptop, I just want to be able to play games like Warcraft and maybe watch movies and DVDs on it".

That said, I can put up with some jitter and less than 100% quality, but what I've had so far has been boardering on terrible. THAT said, it's usable, but it is actually tempting me to just buy a satellite capable PVR device, which I don't really have the money for!

So far my experience in using my PC as a PVR has been jittery playback and/or recordings. If the file itself was recorded ok, then VLC plays it back perfectly, but GBPVR doesn't. I have read through the sticky topic on this, tried the direct-x file downgrade trick, checked the mux's in use on my system, done a fresh install of XP and tried again.. all with very little change. Putting everything in config onto the Cyberlink options (decoder, renderer and multiplexer) and that helped, but not greatly.

The main problem with jitter and jumping playback (and/or recording) seems to be when the PC is BOTH playing AND recording something at the same time.

Here are the specs of my PC, sure it isn't all that uncommon and should be capable of something useful?! Or maybe it isn't?!? I'd be very grateful people's time in commenting on it and offering suggestions of things I can change/try to make it better.

I do suspect that the video card isn't up to scratch, but it does play back perfectly via VLC... I am considering dumping the HVR-3000 in favour of a NOVA-S-PCI because it appears to be compatible with mythtv, in case I decide to try that. Is that a good option with regards to GBPVR? I ONLY use freeview via satellite as my analogue reception is no good at my house.

I really need bang for buck, and dont' want to spend a huge amount of money. If the cost of getting what I want out of PC based PVR solutions approaches $600 then I'll seriously considering spending that plus a bit more to get a dedicated PVR box and leave my PC free for other stuff.

I just noticed there ins´t a Delete button on music library and picture library and also there isn´t a option to configure it inside config.xml.

Is there a way to make it show up, just like what happens with video library?

I’ve gotten my GBPVR machine working pretty well, just getting OTA channels with an antenna in the attic of my new house. Now I’ve got my old DirecTV box set up and I’d like to get that working. It’s an older Sony SAT-B3 box, and it doesn’t appear to be supported by the Hauppauge IR blaster that came with my PVR-150. I’ve looked into the serial control, but can’t seem to get that to do anything. I’m using a scrounged serial cable from around work, so I’m not 100% sure it’s good, but I can’t help wondering if I’m missing something.
I've tried the thing at dtvcontrol.com and just get timeout errors.
Has anyone else gotten the SAT-B3 box to work with their setup? If so, I know it can be done and will keep going. Any suggestions are appreciated.
