i'm thinking about upgrading my nextpvr software program, however i cannot seem to find what version i'm currently going for walks.
the whole thing appears to work well besides once I watch thru kodi and want to pause/play stay television - then i get masses of stuttering. i was looking to discern out if an replace might help that.
the model on the .exe file is 1.zero.zero - that cannot be right.
Hi all. Been setting up NextPVR, testing for recording a specific show. A manual recording started during the show worked properly. However, when I try to do a recurring recording, it doesn't record, and it gives an error - "Recording service not running at recording time". Does this mean I need to keep the NextPVR client running all the time? I figured all it needed was the NextPVR service running, which it was.
If you move the scroll wheel forward or backward while watching live TV the OSD guide is displayed on top of the program you are watching.
Then to remove the OSD guide you have to use the ESC key on your keyboard.
I have no need for this feature and would like to know if it can be inhibited?
Hello,
Forum newbie here. Just wondering if anyone is having the same problems as me ?
I just installed the latest version of NextPVR Version: 5.2.0.210912 and I can't get Pluto TV working anymore. Other channels like STIRR and my local channels work fine.
Sometimes I get "failed to start requested stream" (web client)
Sometimes I get "Streaming Failed - transcoder has exited" (web client)
When I'm in the Desktop client I get "unable to find capture device (One of more errors occurred. (Response status code does not indicate success:400 (bad request).))
Now I know what your thinking ? it's just a bad playlist - the addresses don't exist right ? the thing is the same m3u8 playlist works fine on the Samsung Smart TV and in VLC for windows 10.
Please help. Can I got back aversion of NextPVR and will it solve my problems ?
I've actually added support for this request on my own skin mod of Estuary which I hope to release shortly, but just wanted to make sure you didn't have any kind of issue using the same kind of flag design as the NextPVR web app.
I do find these kind of flags are much more representative and informative than just seeing a '*', which is what Kodi currently displays.
I didn't want to go ahead and use the same basic design without asking first. Grateful if you could you could let me know if you are okay with this.
Cheers
I recently installed V5 on a micro-PC in conjunction with a 7 inch 1200X600 display. All of the settings screens are truncated and it is not possible to see what is to the right and on the bottom. I know other users have seen this in the past but none of the threads came to a conclusion on this issue. Wanted you to know it is still present using the latest release. I got around it by connecting the PC to my large monitor that has higher resolution so I could set the options. This is not a critical issue since I have a way to work around it, but it would be nice to see the program able to work on small LCD screens such as the one I'm using.
Since the last update (September 2021), in the Desktop app on Windows 10, the font in the TV Guide is not displaying correctly Hebrew or Arabic characters. It appears to be a font or Unicode issue.
It worked fine in the previous version. All the foreignn characterss show up as squares.
Good day all. I'm a technically savvy person, but am new to the IPTV world, so am learning as I go. I have an IPTV provider (Xtreme HD IPTV) and have set up IPTVSmarters with it, and it works very well. However, it does not have built-in recording (in the Windows app, at least), so I'm trying to use NextDVR for the recording piece.
My understanding is NextDVR acts as a background middleman, and should be able to communicate with IPTVSMarters (or whatever player) and forward the streams to it. I have pointed it to the provider stream under devices, and can see all the channels in NextDVR.
Where I'm kind of stuck is getting IPTVSmarters to connect to NextDVR. I had thought I just needed to point the player to 127.0.0.1:8866 but it tells me it's an invalid set up.
