  LineUp for NextPvr
Posted by: PRBUK - 2021-09-11, 09:00 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (1)

LineUp is a configuration utility to select and apply Channel Bouquets from the Broadcasters and your Custom Channel List into NextPvr.

LineUp lets you choose your own Channel Numbers/Names, Merge different Broadcast sources into a single channel and assign EPG (XMLTV or OTA).

The initial release supports Satellite, Terrestrial and HdPvr.  Data is provided by EPG Collector and is processed into the NextPvr Database.  LineUp is designed to be run on a regular schedule and will maintain the NextPvr configuration as changes are detected in the data feed.

LineUp for NextPvr is a development of the original LineUp developed for the DVBLogic TVSource product.  It was developed from the UK Satellite feeds and should work where ever EPG Collector is able to create the requried data files (this was certainly the case with the TVSource version).

The initial release is version 21080 and is a complete rewrite.  This version should be treated as a Beta.  Full details are in the User Guide included in the ZIP Package.

LineUp can be obtained from Sourceforge

Restoring Missing Artwork without removing Existing Artwork
Posted by: jw1 - 2021-09-09, 11:28 AM - Forum: Windows - Replies (9)

I am using Schedules Direct. Recent movies that I am recording are showing up with artwork in the web recordings list. Any shows that I recorded earlier do not have artwork.

Is there a way to get artwork to appear for the existing shows without clearing it for the shows that have it?

I  saw the command llisted below but I do not want to wipe out the artwork for the movies.

if you log into the web app at http://localhost:8866, then view http://localhost:8866/service?method=set...d.clearart, then on the Settings->About page do an 'empty epg' followed by an 'update epg', your artwork will begin functioning again.

  Recording of Successive SHows
Posted by: jw1 - 2021-09-09, 11:21 AM - Forum: Windows - Replies (3)

Hi,

I am using 3x HDHomeruns with cablecards. When recording two shows on the same channel one after the other I notice that during the pre/post period where both are being recorded then sometimes one tuner is recording both shows and sometimes separate tuners are recording each show during the overlap period.

Recently it happened that on three channels one show was ending and another was starting and on one channel one tuner was recording both shows but on the other two channels separate tuners were recording the show that was ending and the show that was starting. Instead of using three tuners to record 6 shows, NextPVR was using 5 tuners.

Any idea what causes this?

Thanks.

EPG source xmltv reset to none on device channel update
Posted by: luguber - 2021-09-09, 09:39 AM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (11)

Hi,

Not sure if this is a bug or just something with my setup, but whenever I make a change to my IPTV m3u, and go into devices to do a channel update, all channels with EGP source set to XMLTV are reset to none. The mapping for the channels I have setup with Schedules Direct are remembered and not reset.

24h clock option for TV Guide
Posted by: luguber - 2021-09-09, 09:20 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

I'd like an option to chose between 12 and 24h clock in the TV Guide. I believe most of Europe at least uses 24 hour clock.
It's not a big deal though as I mostly uses the guide via Kodi where I have 24h clock, so its just a "nice to have" thing.

  Option to disable Kodi notification
Posted by: luguber - 2021-09-08, 08:18 AM - Forum: Kodi / XBMC - Replies (3)

Hi,

Is it possible to disable the Kodi toast notifications when a recording starts, stops, or are deleted etc.?

If you have a few recordings enabled it can get a bit too busy with the notifications for my liking.

NextPVR is chosing the lowest quality stream from one m3u8
Posted by: luguber - 2021-09-08, 08:12 AM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (9)

Hi, I just started using NextPVR a couple of days ago, so I don't have much experience with it yet, and I can't say if my problem was introduced in a later release or not.
I started directly on version 5.1.4.210802

My issue is that in one perticular m3u8 stream, NextPVR is for some reason picking the lowest quality stream of the options available.
Its an hls stream with 5 different qualities. NextPVR choses the lowest and sticks with it.

The same stream works fine with VLC, Kodi, or ffmpeg directly. They all pick the highest quality option.

This is on Linux (Debian 11), as I don't have Windows machine available I can't test if this is a Linux spesific issue or not.

Remote login failed for new NextPVR install
Posted by: axel - 2021-09-07, 06:35 PM - Forum: Linux - Replies (6)

Hi,
I installed NextPVR on a machine outside of my local network and cannot figure out how to log in.

First I got the error

Code:
Remote access is not enabled
.
Then I manually edited
Code:
config.xml
 to
Code:
<AllowRemoteAPI>true</AllowRemoteAPI>
.
Now I still get
Code:
Remote login attempt with default credentials
.
I really appreciate that you want to make NextPVR more secure by default, but is there any way I can access it and can harden it myself?

Thanks!

PS: installed on Debian linux following the instructions here: https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=59390 and even https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=60875 recommends logging in with the default username/password

  NextPVR and Remote viewing
Posted by: MaxiBelas - 2021-09-07, 05:45 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

so i have an hdhomerun established at home and i established nextpvr to have a critical recording and streaming vicinity. i'm able to use the web interface on my lan to access the nextpvr carrier. however when i use my ddns address the page loads but once I cycle through the 4 tabs i'm not able to view some thing.

i have already set the tags within the config.xml record for allowremotetranscode/streaming to genuine so i'm uncertain what else can be an issue.

Need Help with Blaster Executable Path
Posted by: jaydub222 - 2021-09-06, 02:49 AM - Forum: Windows - Replies (4)

I had to re-install NextPVR v5 from scratch and everything is working fine, except I forgot how to configure the blasting.  I'm using a Hauppauge Colossus 2 and a DirectTV STB.  The IR Blaster is connected to the Hauppauge and STB, and I can change channels in WinTV10, so the basic setup is fine.  But I'm having trouble getting the blaster to work in NPVR.  I enter in C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\HaupBlast.exe and then type in {channel}, and then save.   I think it set things correctly because I can see (HaupBlast.exe x) in the details column for each channel, where x = the channel number.  But blaster remains inoperable...no red lights light up on the emitter.

Any help would be much appreciated.
