The ScheduledRecording.getCaptureSource() method returns an object data type. What do I need to cast it to in order to get the cap. source details (specifically the cap. source oid)? Is it possible?
I have installed the C++ patch and MS run-time is installed (many times). All of the current drivers and BIOSes are installed for all hardware. All software is fully up to date.
Using the lastest release of GB-PVR, the system just reboots when PVRX2 is executed. (The system runs fine with in the original style in this new release...)
Does anybody else have problems with the HD 3870 card? I am not sure, but I think there maybe a driver issue with the ATI drivers. (Windows reports a driver conflict after the reboot).
I am hoping that there is someone out there who has no problems with this card, so I can eliminate it as a cause.
Thanks, I would hate to have to exchange the card, as GB PVR is used all the time....

Win XP
ATI 550
The new system is working much better than the old. HD is VASTLY improved. Strangely though, I have more SD stutter now than I did on my old system. There is still a little HD stutter, not so bad that I can't live with it - even though I tend to be a perfectionist, but the SD stutter I don't understand. There doesn't seem to be any pattern, as in the stutter doesn't occur when it's panning or anything like that, it just seems to be random.
I also occasionally still see some artifacts in HD, it appears that a field is left behind (interlace) when it's panning. I could probably get a picture of what is occurring if it would help.
My current machine specs are in my sig line.
I do seem to have several audio and video decoders to choose from, unfortunately right now I'm at work and can't remember what they are. I do know the ATI Video Renderer seems to be the WORST of them all.
If I need to add to this for troubleshooting, let me know what you need and I'll add them tonight.
I haven't been around much lately... lurking and reading but not posting.
Anyway, I wanted to show my latest project, its not much and really wasn't much work, but its something that the people around here will like. If sub reads it, he'll probably tell me to get a real machine for it... but the cost was right!
I'm about to build a htpc and want to use gbpvr. I live in the uk and want to be able to record one channel and watch another (or record 2 channels) and want a recommendation for a tv card to go for. I'd prefer PCIe x1 as I have more of those slots in my mobo, but could use a PCI. If there are cards that would allow me to record more channels, that would be a bonus.

This might not be a GBPVR specific problem, so I am sorry. I just felt this would be a good place to start.
First off, I have an HVR-1600 MCE kit, it has the USB remote sensor and black remote. I am running gbpvr 1.1.15 on an old version MCE Windows XP (2002?). As far as I know I have installed all updates, Windows and Hauppauge.
The problem I am having is with irremote.ini. I have been trying to making changes to what was already there, and adding new programs to it. But it seems that no matter what changes I make, it doesnt effect anything. I have tried restarting the IR service, and rebooting the computer. It doesnt help. So I deleted the irremote.ini entirely. And the remote is still functioning how it was originally without the file there. How is that possible? Is my irremote.ini not even being used/recognized? Am I over looking something here?
