Hi

Been having some trouble with one of my plugins - think I make have found a cause.

Found that i was getting a big 'ol system crash when starting in config.

In the logs is the config.exe-withSkinPlugin.log. Gets DLL errors (around line 126)

The thing is, SkinPlugin isn't mine and so doesn't have the dll it's looking for - which is fair enough. The error is that config.exe seems to be trying to look there, and is not looking in the MusicLibrary2 directory where it should be.

In the second log in similar location, I've removed the skinPlugin and everything is fine.

Threw me for a loop as my dev machine wouldn't have the same prob lem only my prod machine.

Yep, you're definitely right - there is some bug in that logic. I'd seen one other report recently showing the same problem (from bgowland).

Unfortunately I'm about to get on a plane to the USA for two weeks, so I'm not able to find and fix the problem right now. Can you bump this thread when I'm back?

Yep should be able to. I'll add a reminder for myself. I think it can be got around by using that common directory.

The plugins\common folder worked for me. If it doesn't fix your problem then check the Developers forum for some code JavaWiz posted WRT one of my questions about missing assemblies.

Cheers,
Brian
