Hi there,
I have a few streaming client PCs running version 1.1.5. Since the day I updated them to 1.1.5, I noticed that PVRX2 did not display the OSD when watching Live TV or a recording. The keyboard shortcuts work fine. Is this a known issue or is the problem external to GB-PVR (like decoders, renderers, muxs issues)?
All the client PCs are configured as follow:
Blue skin, CyberLink video decoders, VMR9 video renderer, Streaming, DVR-MS (I tried ATI MPEG and had same problems), DirectX9c.
We've been using the GBPVR instead because of the problems mentioned above. But GBPVR does not look as kewl as PVRX2 and its OSD locks-up the video if I try to do fast-forward (chapter skip works fine, though).
Using my MVP with the 34 button Hauppauge remote when I am watching live tv, if I go to the grid guide, the blue and green buttons previously were page up/down until I installed the patch for fixing the mini guide (from the v1.1.5 survival post). Now when I push the green button, the grid guide disappears and the mini guide appears instead of getting page up. Is this a bug or the way you intended for it to work?
In short, my plugin spawns a command-line exe which then steals focus from PVRX2. I don't know why it steals focus or how to prevent it. As a workaround, I could either get the plugin to reset the focus to PVRX2 or I could get the command-line exe to set the focus back.
I've done this in the past with Win32 apps but can't find the equivalent in .NET.
Any ideas? I've searched the net and the VS help files but I'm obviously missing something.
The remote thing isnt a GB-PVR problem. The Hauppauge remote software tries to use the last device installed for the remote (even if it doesnt have a remote socket), so it wouldnt be looking at the PVR-150 remote anymore. You'll probably need to uninstall the PVR-150 and reinstall it.
On the other thing, make sure both devices are configured as device #1. If that doesnt help, reproduce the problem and post the logs and I'll take a look.
I have bought a HVR 900 for my laptop. My GB-PVR machine has a single Nova-T USB in it. I got thinking I could plug the HVR 900 into the GB-PVR machine if I knew I needed to record two channels, but I have since discovered it isn't so easy.
Could there be a way for GB-PVR to detect which USB tuners are actually plugged into the system and available based on a list of pre-defined tuners done through the normal configuration application.
I suppose the tuners would have an "Enable / Disable" flag that could be polled every 10 seconds or so based on list of USB devices present.
Basically I am interested to know why an mpg created usng VCDGear (extracted from a VCD) has sound that only comes out stereo when passed through AC3filter but the sound from my recordings AC3filter can changes to surround.
What do I need to do to AC3filter to get the vcd extracted mpeg in surround without messing up - for example MP3 which should remain stereo?
Hello, just wanted to say this is a fantastic program, I have gbpvr working well. I have as follows (2) HVR-1600's working for analog and QAM. Also the Hauppauge IR blaster running my STB. (Thank you to a member on here for letting me know that Hauppauge had a bad batch of IR blasters out there).
There is one minor thing: My QAM: and I'm thinking it's a connection issue?: All of my QAM stations are "jumpy" and stutter quite a bit. I have a Motorola amp before them and a 4 way splitter. I just can't seem to find out the issue here. Should I go with an ATSC antenna instead?
Thanks for any comments/help in advance.
EDIT: Computer Hardware: Video Card: Nvidia 7600GS 256 MB
Hi, sorry if this is asked & answered but I've searched the forum and can't find this particular problem anywhere. GB-PVR does not recognize my WinFast PVR2000. In the config utility I try to set up a recording source. If I check the box to only show detected devices it says "No known cards detected in this machine." If I try to set up PVR2000 as the capture card type and click OK, it tells me the device drivers do not seem to be installed. The drivers are installed, and the WinFast PVR software that came with the card works. I read on another forum that GB-PVR works with this card, but requires some addition to "direct.ini", which could be found here.
