I have a been ripping CDs and have a pretty good collection of music online, but no album art. Is there a program that can go through your albums and download album art automatically?

Here's a neat and free program that speeds up the cutting of commercials in Vista Media Center and seems to work with both comskip and Showanalyzer. Even has a Media Center Plugin.
Haven't had too much to test it on as I rarely record with MC but it did do a good job.
I found myself switching between watching TV and using other apps (email, web surf, ...) frequently, and it would be good to have snappy switch between them. So, is a scenario like the following possible?
1. Run GBPVR. Start watching Live TV (in Preview Mode) directly or from TV Guide.
2. In the middle of watching TV, press Alt-Tab. Do something else in other apps.
3. During that period of doing something else. GBPVR stays idle (no recording).
4. When coming back to GBPVR using Alt-Tab, Live TV immediately shows the channel I was watching before without any noticeable delay.
If possible, what are the required config settings for such a scenario? What is the cost of putting GBPVR idle behind (in terms of resource consumption)?
I just downloaded GB-PVR v1.1.5, and it seems all fine and dandy to use, but I can't access my second harddrive:mad: Which is where all me media is. Can someone tell me how to fix or if it possible?
I finally got around to having a look at the collection of goodies AutoRecord found for me over the last 4 weeks and I'm not sure if I've figured out how TreeView works...
I've got 8 programmes entitled "Later with Jools Holland". In TreeView mode (collapsed as far as possible) with both sorts set to Title, I have 7 'Top Level' entries - 6 of which have one programme each and 1 with two programmes. The two grouped programmes have identical descriptions - the descriptions on the others are all different. I would have expected 1 top level entry, expandable to show 8 programmes.
I switch my recording directory between 2 disks so I can defrag and in the db (RECORDING_SCHEDULE.filename) these 8 files are split between 2 different recording paths - but the programme names (apart from the datetimestamp) are identical...
Am I missing something?
Alex
Edit: I've attached a screenshot which also shows a datestamp miss-aligned
For quite a while I had GBPVR humming along nicely on one of my older systems. One of the kids systems fried and I made the mistake of allowing them to temporarily use my PVR. BIG MISTAKE
So now I Have uninstalled, reinstalled about a hundred times to different locations on the system ans always get the following error
"The application failed to initialize properly (Ox0000005) Click ok to terminate the application"
I get this when I try to launch GBPVR.exe, Config.exe, GBPVRTRAY.exe
The Tuning assistant works, I get picture and can scan the channels without issue.
I installed the newer version and did a windows update (running Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2) to update my .Net framework. Nothing helps. Please let me know if you have any advice. I've attached the logs in case it helps.
Forgive me if I'm asking a bit of a dense question, however my experience with this tuner has been a long and arduous one, with plenty of lost sleep involved. Firstly, I'd like to say that GB-PVR is a great piece of software, the first I've found besides MCE and Pinnacle's crapfest that will even recognize my (apparently very uncooperative) tuner stick.
That all said, onto my question- I've been pouring through the forums and all other info on here, and I've managed to get the GBPVR to recognize my card, however, only for over-the-air ATSC (as per the majority of posts on the forum). Thats good, but my real interest is getting the card working to tune my plain old cable through Comcast, which is just a normal analog signal. I've wired it right into my cable connection, but it doesn't detect any channels (it doesn't with ATSC on an antenna either, for that matter, but I figure its moot as thats not my interest regardless).
I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on their experiences with the tuner, and what I'm looking at for limitations, etc with it. I can post any info on demand, and I apologize if this all seems moronic to the many veterans in this forum- I only just started playing with the idea of a tuner on my laptop, and it is apparently much more involved than I would have thought.
Hi all,
I just setup gbpvr yesterday and so far it has worked great. I have been having problems setting it up to use anything but stereo sound for DVDs. I have powerdvd installed and configured as 6 speaker. I have changed the audio decoder to Cyberlink(PDVD7) in gbpvr. I then try changing the audio decoder options to 6 speaker in gbpvr, but it immediately changes it back to 2 speaker before I have the chance to hit apply. I have also tried changing the audio decoder to system default, but when I play a dvd it is still in stereo sound (although all 6 speakers are working with both decoders, the front and back speakers are just playing the same tracks).
I also have another weird problem. Whenever I try using the THX audio test in a Star Wars dvd, it freezes. However, powerdvd has no problem with this and plays the movie in surround sound just fine.
I cannot get my machine to consistently wake from hibernation - it freezes solid as the progress bar reaches the end, the screen goes blank and a reset is needed. This is an XP problem according to Microsoft - on PCs with at least 1 GB RAM (I have 2). It's intermittent, hasn't responded to a complete reinstallation of XP and no fix has been offered by M$. If I just use standby I get the old "IR hardware hasn't initialised" error on my HVR1300. I've tried setting up gbpvrwake.exe but that throws up an error and won't run in the background at startup. I'm really stuck.
So my question is - should I just upgrade to Vista? Has anyone had hibernation problems like this with Vista? Does the HVR1300 work OK with it? Anything I should know about running GB-PVR on Vista?
