I realize that there is a guest account built into the web interface. but it has access to everything except the configure tab. It would be a lot better if you could assign access to different things, such as the ability to view 2 of 3 video libraries, 1 of 2 music libraries, and hide TV guide/Recording options (for example). Being able to assign Download-Only or Stream-Only would also be helpful options, but not as important.
I've dabbled in ASP, but don't know it well enough to tackle this. Would be willing to help though.
Thanx in advance to anyone who is interested in this task.
I know there are more then 1 threads allready on the board both all of them are pretty much outdated and the coding ppl seem to have lost hope/interest in the project.
So here goes!
I went a little overboard with me money buying myself a fancy logitech dinovo edge for $200 or something (150 euro). When i was admiring my fancy keyboard sitting on the cabinet doing nothing it came to me
I want messenger on me htpc So much more relax to play me music and messenger away a bit on my big screen telly (panasonic viera 50")
When in the Recordings Ready window is it possible to get the number keys to act as character search keys. It wouldn't need to be multi character just of you press 7 twice it would move to recordings beginning with Q. Over the christmas period I have acquired over 200 recordings (with a WAF factor close to 100% she seems to record everything, I even had conflict with 4 tuners  may even have to swap the 500Gb for a 1Tb )

Using VS C# 2005 Express, I usually edit the AssemblyInfo.cs to contain something similar to...
Code:
[assembly: AssemblyVersion("1.1.*")]
...which auto-generates the build and revision numbers but this gives things like 1.1.2927.12087. I'd much rather have a simpler increment such as 1.1.4, 1.1.5 etc.
Obviously I could manually edit the AssemblyInfo.cs file with those values but with several assemblies in one solution, this is a bit of a hassle.
Hi Sub,
My first post this year so Happy new year to all,
I have just a quick question about the 10 seconds timeout for file creation when timeshifting start; is it possible to change this value or is it hardcoded in the software?
After trying out Sage and Beyond, I'm giving GB-PVR a try. I've had it installed for about a week, and have it working with a couple issues.
The main problem is studdering video when sending it out to my 1080i HDTV via component. It plays perfectly when I'm viewing it on my 19" CRT monitor, or when viewing it with other media players (media player classic or widows media player), on my HDTV. But every combination of video decoder, renderer and audio decoder causes jerky playback on the HDTV. I installed the trial version of the NVIDIA PureVideo decoder, but can't tell if it's running. Should there be a choice for it in the configuration options? I just have the same option I had before installing it, the regular NVIDIA video decoder.
This is both in GB-PVR and PVRX2. I'm not doing any audio decoding, just sending the stream via SPDIF to my A/V receiver for decoding. I'm aware that this is a common issue, but I haven't found a fix yet.
The second minor issue is padding. Is there a way to negatively pad a recording? I record the 5:30 and 6:00 news, and want to end the 5:30 news one minute early, and start the 6:00 news a minute early. I could do this with Beyond, but can't see and option for it in GB.
Apart from these two issues, I think the software is fantastic. It's been stable as a rock, and has all the features I need. It's recording everything I ask of it, and other than having to view the recordings with other media players, it's about perfect.
