is there something i am missing? i am trying to get the cinema plugin to play movie trailers. it seems to download them correctly, but when i play them in the cinema plugin. it looks like it is trying to start but then just goes back to the movie listing. i am using ffdshow, is there something i need to configure to get it to work. also sometimes when i try to play the file PVRX2 crashes. it doesnt seem to have anything helpful in the event viewer wither. any ideas?
Sorry but I have to post this for support since I couldn't find any old thread to help resolve.
The pvrx2.exe for gbpvr v1.1.5 crashes with an "execption error" after running for about an hour or so. Killing processes and restarting the service brings it up again and then repeats with a crash.
I'm running a 1.6ghz dual core e2140 with 2gb ram, nVdia geForce 8500gt with 512ram, ATI 650pro, 150Gb on the C drive and 200Gb on the data/downloads drive.
OS is win2003 server (new install) with current .Net v3.5 and latest patches. VcRedist installed, no firewall or other services except symantec. Directx 9.0c (with quartz ver B), cyberlink (ati) codecs and ffdshow installed/enabled.
Client is an MVP running over wired 100mb lan with a giga switch.
Plugins - ML2 (also crashes mvp upon start - maybe since no db yet) and latest Video Archive plugin; over and above the default gbpvr set (all enabled by default).
Last crash occured at 8:28pm - ataching some recent logs. Please let me know if other info is needed. Any info and help is greatly appreciated.
I am looking for a new video card that can meet some of my requirements.
My Motherboard only does AGP4x, and PCI (no express)
PIII - 1Ghz
512 RAM
320Gb HDD
Windows XP Home SP2
I currently cannot run PVRX2, and I'm sure it's my video card (ATI 128 Rage all-in-wonder) and I need one that can run PVRX2.
Also, I currently own a cheap CRT TV so I need S-Video or composite output, but would also like VGA and DVI (i need the VGA because i have to hook up a monitor now and then to actually read whats on the screen if i'm doing anything maintenance related)
I'm not concerned about the DVI but i don't know if I ever get a new tv if it will have DVi only or VGA too?
I was looking at the nvidia FX5200, but it's either AGP 8x, or the PCI version doesn't have DVI. I'm really considering this though as DVI isn't needed now, and the computer still needs lots of other upgrades.
So if you can please make a suggestion of something you think will work. I'm kind of hoping for a legacy product so it will be cheaper.
1) What is the difference between skinHelper2.DisposeResources()
and PluginHelperFactory.getPluginHelper().DisposeResources(disposeList) ?
Should both be called in the Dispose method of each control instance?
2) Should the control's Dispose() call element.image.Dispose(), or does the call to the PluginHelper.DisposeResources do that under the covers. (see example below)
3) It looks like the UiButton.Dispose() method is empty. Shouldn't it call the PluginHelper dispose with the normal and selected UIElements?
Currently all the WizControls call the xxx.image.Dispose() method for each GBPVRUiElement object in the control as well as calling the PluginHelper dispose method at the end of the controls Dispose() routine.
For example, here is the dispose method for the text box:
When Previewing digital channels, If any other programs are found on the mux, it would be nice if those channels were added to the list, as well as a way to select the channel number so update on a channel by channel basis would be possible. Instead of scanning all channels and eraseing the prior scan, perhaps a check box to keep prior scans would be usefull as well.
Also Channel numbering should be based on program number and not on order of detection. so we may see 100.1,, 100.4 ,100.5 instead of 100.1, 100.2 and 100.3 from Programs 1,4, and 5 on a mux.
I feel stupid asking this, but don't ask, ya don't learn so here goes...
I need to find a new cap card (long story) and wanted to go with a USB to free up space in my 3 slot box. I was looking at the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950 Hybrid TV Stick because I'm tight on funds but was looking at threads where sub said that the "digital side was supported but not the analog side" and I have to admit I really don't understand what he meant.
I have digital cable and require a convertor to see premium channels and PPV but I can also see most of the basic cable channels using my old VCR. I have a PVR150MCE currently (which worked and tuned in the basics) that is listed on the wiki as being "analog" but again, I'm not sure how this is meant.
Can anyone explain this to me in very simple terms? I'd be really grateful!
I have recently moved to Oz from NZ. In NZ I have been using an HTPC with a PVR 350 card for the past 3 years and I have been very happy with it.
In OZ they have terrestial-based digital TV I think which you buy a set-top box for. Since I watch most of my TV using the hauppauge I would like to replace my PVR 350 with an appropriate card to receive the digital signal.
