  Skin File Not Found Error
Posted by: obiwan - 2007-12-22, 10:58 PM - Forum: UbuStream, Web Radio and Universe - Replies (4)

I have installed and reinstalled 2.2 and both times I am having no luck starting ubuStream.
I am getting this error in the PVRX2 logs...........

2007-12-22 16:45:54.203 VERBOSE [1] Skin file not found: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\\UbuStream\\MultiView.xml

Notice the double \\ for folder location.

All the ubu install logs do not have this double entry anywhere.

  Black borders around captured video
Posted by: vmq - 2007-12-22, 10:53 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

I am a little puzzled about the analog recordings made with my HVR 1600. On the left, top and right sides my recordings get a thin (ca. 8-10 pixel) black border. This is not really a problem, but I wonder if this is a "normal" effect.

Recordings captured with GBPVR, medium quality setting, analog cable. See the attached screen shot for an example.

Posted by: Smoker - 2007-12-22, 09:56 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Greetings

I've got a mpeg (and many others) that the playback is very speedy. Nothing wrong with the PQ or the audio but it flies through. I suspect I hav the codec since I can see it play but not sure what could be causing this. Any thoughts ?

Solved - BDA not found problem
Posted by: fanpy - 2007-12-22, 09:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hi all,

I've finally solved a problem around my BDA driver for the WinFast DTV Dongle DIB7700, and to share this with you all.

For those not using English version of Windows, you have to modify the input and output PIN definition to exactly as appeared in GraphEdit.

For example, my BDA input should be modified to "MPEG2 传输" in Chinese, rather than the default "MPEG2 Transport"

I think this problem has not been documented any where yet.

  Media MVP won't work
Posted by: psycho - 2007-12-22, 09:03 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (2)

Hello, I have been gone for a while and just installed 1.1.5. I am having problems getting MVP to work. I have read all the threads about the firewalls, and have added pvrx2 to the exceptions both in windows firewall and I am also running zonelabs. Then when that didn't work. I disconnected my line to my cable modem and turned off my firewalls. I could still not get the MVP to display the pvrx2. Then I tried the Hauppague server software and the MVP works just fine with the Hauppauge display. Why can't I get GBPVR to work with the pvrx2?

Thanks

AVI black bars on top and bottom
Posted by: metal - 2007-12-22, 03:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi, I have a CRT TV 4:3 and when I play an AVI file, the bars on top and bottom are dark purple instead of black. I've played the same file with another player and the bars are always black. I've tried to find the same problem in the forum with no result.
What sould I do?
Thank you

request for sorted list in "recurring"
Posted by: martint123 - 2007-12-22, 01:13 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (6)

Sorry for all these requests, but a usability request again.

In the "recurring" recordings list, I would find it very handy for the list to be in alphabetical order rather than it's presumably creation order. I wanted to get rid on an entry and it took quite a time to find it (I have over 100 entries here, most left from the past in the hope of catching new series starting up).

Cheers and seasonal wotsits

Martin

GBPVR not changing STB Channels (sort of)
Posted by: Retired2k - 2007-12-22, 01:13 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

First, KUDOS to the creater[s] of GBPVR and all the folks that have had input in making it the best alternatives to MS MCE and it's protected DVR-MS  files that can't be copied to DVD.

Some of you may have seen a posting similar to this one on the hardware forum of this site. That may have been the wrong one to post this issue on, so I'll try it here.

My only hope is that there is someone out there that has had a similar experience with GBPVR channel changing capabilities. There seems to be some kind of interaction with MCE 2005 software when it comes to the MCE v2 remote transceiver and blasters.

Here’s the setup….I have the latest GBPVR, and v2 MCE remote, receiver/beanbag (black) and 2 emitters/blaster on WINXP SP2 MCE system.
I have GBPVR configured to use "2005 MCE Blaster Plugin" for a channel changer and have programmed my STB's remote (0-9) signals to the plugin.

GBPVR works great and exceeded my expectations UNTIL my system wakes from hibernation or S3 Standby. Then GBPVR will not change channels on my STB. When I get it working again and the system reboots or wakes up from S1 standby, GBPVR works great, hibernation and S3 Standby seem to be the only functions that cause GBPVR to stop working. It's almost like GBPVR needs to get a handle on some part/componet of the "Media Receiver Service" to function, after it does, the "Media Receiver Service" has to be stopped in order for GBPVR to change channels.

The only way I can get GBPVR back in control after hibernation/S3 standby is:

1. Activate Media Center > MY TV > Live TV
2. Exit Media Center.
3. Go to Administrative Services > Services > Stop Media Receiver Service.
4. Re-activate GBPVR and all is well. Channel change works perfectly.

If I allow the system to go into hibernation or S3, I have to do the above steps all over again. If I use the MCE Infrared remote control driver vs. eHome USB driver, I can’t get it to work at all. I really don’t care if the hand held MCE remote works or not, I just need GBPVR to be able to change channels on the STB consistantly.

Thank you in advance for any guidence any of you may have on the problem.

  Can GBpvr 1.1.5 play CD's?
Posted by: 7ore - 2007-12-22, 12:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

How do I do to play a music cd in 1.1.5?
Is it one of the thimgs that will reappear in a future release, or have I missed the way to do it?

It's not often I play cd's anymore, but once in a while I do. I think I was able to start a cd in Music Library in 0.99.12, but I can't get it to work now.

grammar error when trying to use tuner but none available
Posted by: Wakalaka - 2007-12-22, 11:24 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have 1 tuner defined, and I record a program from the TV Guide. I then select another program and choose Watch. Error dialog comes up that says

"No tuners are available watch the requested channel. You can choose to watch one of the current recording programmes."

Should say "No tuners are available to watch the requested channel." Add the word to before watch Smile
