Sub, I really need some help in looking into a problem with emulation mode where it "feels" like the remote controls dies. Could you have a look at the attached file which is a combination of the relevant (to me) portions of the client and server logs. The original logs are here if that is easier
1. On the client side, the client sends an (08 00) heartbeat out at 13:58:54 and it looks like GBPVR reacts, I get the data (8) with "Responding to ping" message. Can you tell me if that logged before or after it is sent since mvpmc doesn't actually receive the rfb heartbeat until 13:59:23 which corresponds to the remote wakes up.
2. During that dead time GBPVR received 3 seek commands but it didn't seem to do any action on them until after that heartbeat signal was sent. Do you have any idea what is blocking GBPVR from moving in the mpeg and delaying the send the resulting play (1) commands until 13:59:24?
Seems I have a lot of issues is a bit misleading :eek: After writing the body of the email and posting I realised I really only have 2 issues, with the way the family is complaining you would think the sky has fallen in
I believe they were there prior to PVRx2 1.1.5 (cant remember the version released prior but I was on that one)
Issues may or may not be PVR related so if anyone has a clue that may solve one or more of them then I will start correcting them.
1. some recording showing up as "Failed"
2. skip and forward seem to intermittently cause a lockup
This may be related to my post processing batch file which transcodes any recording to AVI, I do run it as low priority but it certainly seems to affect parts of PVRx2 responsiveness. I will start by renaming the postprocessing.bat and see if it helps.
I need to get a large font skin working with ML2 on an MVP. Blue-Retro-SHV looks good, but when I try to select ML2, it crashes the MVP. Is there any way to get this to work, or is there another large font skin to try that works out of the box?
I know radio is a sore subject but, with Christmas coming I am getting heat from the wife :eek:.
Net radio does not do anything on my main system. The native log shows "VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: MPEG-I Stream Splitter" I installed the Klite codec pack and have checked and found this
"Description: MPEG-1 Stream Splitter
File name: c:\windows\system32\quartz.dll
CLSID: {336475D0-942A-11CE-A870-00AA002FEAB5}
Merit: 00600000 = MERIT_NORMAL
So it looks to me like the splitter is there, but I don't know how to check if it is working. I can open the playlist link with winamp and media player classic and it plays just fine.
I also get this error in the PVRX2 log:
Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Any ideas? Would you like more logs? FYI, I also unregistered and rereged the filters per another post I found.
I get the following exception when attempting to query the DB from my plugin.
Code:
DVBTR: System.EntryPointNotFoundException: Unable to find an entry point named 'sqlite3_errmsg_stmt_interop' in DLL 'System.Data.SQLite.DLL'
I could understand a DB 'locked' exception or various others but I don't understand this DLL entry point error.
Code as follows...
Code:
SQLiteConnection conn = null;
SQLiteCommand comm = null;
SQLiteDataReader dr = null;
conn = new SQLiteConnection("data source=" + GBInstallDir + "gbpvr.db3");
comm = new SQLiteCommand("SELECT BDA_RECORDING_SOURCE.board, CAPTURE_SOURCE.name, BDA_RECORDING_SOURCE.capture_source_oid FROM BDA_RECORDING_SOURCE INNER JOIN CAPTURE_SOURCE ON BDA_RECORDING_SOURCE.capture_source_oid = CAPTURE_SOURCE.oid", conn);
comm.CommandType = System.Data.CommandType.Text;
comm.Connection.Open();
dr = comm.ExecuteReader();
To be honest, I'm not sure where I got that SQL query from as it was a couple of months ago when I did it. I think it was probably a VS DataSet wizard generation. It looks OK to me as far as I can tell.
I don't understand the 'entry point' thing. Any ideas? Google isn't helping.
[EDIT] The exception occurs at the comm.ExecuteReader() point.
Really looking forward to using GBPVR. But, having some issues.
Built a new system: Fatal1ty F-190HD motherboard, 2 gig RAM, 2.4Ghz Duo. Bought the HVR-1600 MCE and tried to get it to work, but had same issue as below, so I bought HVR-1600 (non-MCE) to see if that was the issue (no installed MUX?)
When I load up the WinTV program, everything runs fine, displays TV and changes channels with no issue. When I load up GB-PVR config, when I try to ADD a capture card, crashes when I press "Display only installed..." to desktop. (This is in Direct Recording Plugin) If I specify the Hauppauge board (HVR-1600 Analog) then when I hit OKAY is when config completely crashes. I've updated every driver, installed latest DirectX, latest ATI graphics, latest 1600 driver from Hauppauge to no avail.
I have the latest version of GB-PVR (1.1.5) and I'll attach my logs here shortly!
Good program. Much better than the one that came with my WinTV PVR150. Only having one problem. I'm just trying to number my channels so I can see what channel it is I am watching. Then I could enter a number and have it so to the specified channel. Thanks.
I have 3 tuners set up in Config:
PVR 150
HVR1600 Analog
HVR1600 Digital
Doing the scan on the digital channels I get only my local CBS and ABC affiliates in QAM clear. The quality of the signals varies so that sometimes the digital signal is better and sometimes the analog.
My question is, how can I differentiate between the digital and analog versions of the same channel? If I have, for example, channel 12 disabled on both analog tuners and enabled on the digital tuner, with channel 12 mapped to 12.1, then I will always get the digital version of that channel. If I enable all 3 tuners for channel 12, it seems to always give me the analog version. (In Config the digital tuner is third in the list.)
I guess what I would like to see is to have both channel 12 and 12.1 appear in the sequence of channels on Live TV and on EPG, but I can't figure how to do this.
Maybe the problem would be moot it I could get decent QAM rendering. Most of the time it shows up kind of like a very fast slide show - the picture seems to skip a frame or two every now and then.
