I click on search, get the little box, type in my criteria and it doesn't work. In firefox, I just get a blank page, in IE, I get a "page cannot be displayed". I tried it from 2 different computers.
I have looked through most of the posts here about this issue and I have tried most of what is suggested with no luck.
I have:
- Disabled all software firewalls
- Set the Everyone permission to work for anonymous users in policies
- Given Everyone:Full Control permissions on the required shares (I should not need a Null Session share I hope) and NTFS permissions
- Tried streaming and file sharing
- Tried different video rendering
- Excluded TS file extention in antivirus
- Ensured hardware specs are up to scratch
- Ensured network specs are up to scratch
- Disabled Simple File Sharing
- Ensured server and client are set up the same way (works fine on server)
- Tried both GBPVR and PVRX2
- Played around with other settings...
- and more...
If I start LiveTV from the client I get 2-5 seconds of working tv, then the picture scrambles and PVRX2\GBPVR freezes.
When using streaming, playback of recordings simply does not work. Closes down PVRX2\GBPVR almost immidiately. When I try playback of recordings while using File Sharing, it works except the picture is scrambled. LiveTV does not work with File Sharing either.
Any ideas?
I can't post attachments to this forum, but I can post them to my website to be downloaded. Assuming some kind soul is willing to help, let me know if logs are wanted... and which ones of course.

this is the first time i have posted here but i have searched the forums a lot.
I have an HP digital ExpressCard Tv tuner that has hardware mpeg2 encoding. I have both Digital and Analog channels working but the analog side is really really fuzzy looking. I tried different settings on the playback tab but nothing really changed. I tried fooling around with the ffdshow settings to see if i could make the quality any better through that but it still barely works. I noticed somewhere on the forums that you had to use "encoder passthrough" for similar cards but when i do that the card does not activate for analog channels.
what i am looking for is any help to get the quality of the analog tuner higher. the digital channels are fine except the local standard def channels that are sent via OTA ATSC, which are just as bad as the cable NTSC channels. the digital side comes up as an Hauppauge OEM 885 and the analog comes up as an HVR-1800MCE. I am running vista buisness on a laptop with GF 7600 Go, 2 GB ram, 2 GHz core 2 duo.
Description of image:
scanlines visible, deinterlacing helps but unable to get enough from ffdshow
fuzzy image with slight occasional lag
slight shadowing.
i have tried to enable the EVR video rendering but it tends to cause my to loose analog. i have also tried changing out the quartz.dll. i am running version 1.1.5.
Yesterday I tried to Quick Record a current program from the TV Guide ("Target Summer Special", just after 8pm) but the program wasn't marked red in the guide, and when I checked pending recordings, it was listed as "Pending" rather than "Recording". Checking the tuner status showed neither the pvr150 or dvb-s source were recording (the pvr150 had previously been recording "hells kitchen"), and restarting the service didn't work either. I restarted the computer and on startup the program finally started recording.
As a test I tried the same thing at 7.32 tonight, with a quick-record of "two and a half men" with the same results - not shown in the service, listed as pending rather than recording, only recording on computer restart etc.
