Hi.

I have looked through most of the posts here about this issue and I have tried most of what is suggested with no luck.

I have:
- Disabled all software firewalls
- Set the Everyone permission to work for anonymous users in policies
- Given Everyone:Full Control permissions on the required shares (I should not need a Null Session share I hope) and NTFS permissions
- Tried streaming and file sharing
- Tried different video rendering
- Excluded TS file extention in antivirus
- Ensured hardware specs are up to scratch
- Ensured network specs are up to scratch
- Disabled Simple File Sharing
- Ensured server and client are set up the same way (works fine on server)
- Tried both GBPVR and PVRX2
- Played around with other settings...
- and more...

If I start LiveTV from the client I get 2-5 seconds of working tv, then the picture scrambles and PVRX2\GBPVR freezes.

When using streaming, playback of recordings simply does not work. Closes down PVRX2\GBPVR almost immidiately. When I try playback of recordings while using File Sharing, it works except the picture is scrambled. LiveTV does not work with File Sharing either.

Any ideas?

I can't post attachments to this forum, but I can post them to my website to be downloaded. Assuming some kind soul is willing to help, let me know if logs are wanted... and which ones of course.

Thanks

You have to producing .mpg files to use it for live tv, so this means using either the Cyberlink or ATI mux.

Before transmission the broadcaster breaks the digital channels (and supporting data) into thousands of little 188 byte packets. When these packets are received by the capture device, it passes them through a mux filter to reassemble them into a format that can be saved to disk and later played back.

The Cyberlink mux creates .mpg files
The ATI mux creates .mpg files
The Microsoft DVR-MS mux creates .dvr-ms files
The TS Mux mux creates .ts files

Sub,

thanks for your excellent help and please excuse me for being so thick.

One more question though please...

Once the Mux filter has been located, how does one go about installing it into GBPVR?

Post a screenshot so I can picture what "scrambled" means.
