I'm from Italy and I use both NPVR4 and NPVR5 side by side, to feed practically any client starting from WMC, Kodi, MPC-HC and so on, ending with IPTV Extreme on Android.
And I'm happy with both of them with very few problems.
One of such problems is the EPG update frequency as in Italy many DVB-T stations are used to include just the "Now and Next" info, which spans just for 2/3 hours.
I solved that problem years ago with NPVR4 using the switch -updateepgonly and a scheduled task, but I'm unable to do the same on v5
So is there a way to get the same functionality in NPVR5?
Would you mind to include an option to decide the update frequency directly from the web UI?
I think I'm not the only person in the planet affected of such limitation.

I now have over 5000 channels in NPVR and can't figure out how to delete them. I tried using the settings, unchecking the few local tuner channels that I want to keep, then hitting the trash can icon and clicking "ok" when it asks me "Are you sure you want to delete these 5322 channels?", but the box goes away and then nothing happens. The channels are all still there. Watching in Taskmanager, none of the npvr tasks seem to be doing anything. Logs attached.
I'm trying to get NScriptHelper to rename a recording from recording.ts to recording.mp4 and I cannot get it to work. This has worked for me in the past but not currently.

It appeares to work as I get no error reply when I run it, but the recording path remains pointing to the .ts file. Am I missing something?
Hi, I've just find that nextpvr stop working....at all.
I have many hardware devices added to nextpvr but all of them not working...
Any idea...always get error "Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)".
I am curently using the Recording Auto Transcode 1080p (.mp4) setting. I want to see how well this will work with the NextPVR Roku app as I have trouble with OTA signal quality at times and I am hoping this may help.
Of course this means I have no PostProcessing script running and therfore I can't run Comskip automatically. Is there any way I can use both the Recording Auto Transcode setting and run a PostProcessing scriopt (with Comskip)?
I assume the answer is no. So, the next question is, are there any other ways to use NextPVR to run Comskip?
I've been testing NextPVR for about a week now and it's been working fine through Kodi until yesterday when I saw on the Web UI that there was a new version of NextPVR. I updated to this version 5.1.3.210711 and now I'm unable to schedule recordings from guide or from timer on Kodi. An error message shows saying "Could not start recording. Check the log for more information about this message." From the Web UI everything works fine and on KNEWC.
I've tried clearing out EPG on Kodi and uninstalling and re-installing the addon to no effect.
The issue happens both on a Kodi Windows client and on an Android TV Kodi client.
I bought a WinTV-HVR-1260 TV tuner card and tried to use its S-Video input to play Gamecube games on my computer instead of constantly switching my monitor's input.
I installed WinTV10 but don't have an activation code but it SEEMS (not sure but device manager has change my device from unrecognized into a Hauppauge WinTV 723x (ATSC/NTSC)).
I'm trying to find a way to video the S-Video input but to no avail. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
After updating to 210711, all of my scheduled show recordings were identified as being in conflict. On further investigation, I realized that the conflict was due to no tuners being available (according to NextPVR). Sure enough, when I checked the Devices web settings page, all of the tuners associated with my WinTV-dualHD were identified as being unavailable.
I have WinTV 10 installed. I can use it to play and record content using the WinTV tuner. The tuner is also identified as being active and working properly in the Windows Device Manager. The NextPVR service is scheduled with a delayed start, so the network services are up and running when it starts. To make sure, I stopped and restarted the service multiple times after the PC has booted. I also reinstalled the WinTV 10 software to make sure drivers were up to date. The Hauppauge tuner is still not being detected by NextPVR.
