I have a box with a USB dongle with 2 tuners and a Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner.
I have put the 2 dongle tuners to the top of the list, and disabled the HDHomeRun ones.
Problem. When I play a channel, it still uses the HDHomeRun tuners....
Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 1230E06E-1 (#0)
I am trying to get the the Next PVR to use the dongle, and leave the network one for other machines.
Tried ticking the keep digital tuners primed... not sure what that does.
Also ... cannot find the option to import the channels from one tuner to another. My understanding is that there should be an import button ? I do not have one. The only way I can do it, is to delete ALL of channels on a tuner. Hit the back button on the browser, and then click on the now channel empty tuner. It then ask if I want to import the channels from another tuner..
Cheers Peter

I have noticed that Live TV will suddenly stop playing around the 45 minute mark. In this particular case, I started the first episode of my TV show at 12 noon and the show ended at 12:30 PM. The next episode of the same show started at 12:30 PM and was suppose to end at 1:00 PM. However around 12:45 PM the screen froze and about 2 minutes later the playback of live TV stopped, meaning I was now back to the home screen. The EPG shows the two episodes scheduled as I described. If you reference the attached Kodi Client log, the problem occurs at 2021-07-07 12:45:29.009 T:6688.
BTW, I have a similar problem when watching a 2 hour news program in the morning except the freeze occurs around the 1 hour and 40+ minute mark.
My V5 server (version: 5.1.2.219603) runs on a Windows 10 PC.
My V5 server buffer is set for 120 minutes.
The Kodi client (Kodi addon version: 8.2.3.1) runs on a Raspberry Pi 4.
The RPi 4 is running LibreELEC 9.95.5.
I hope the provided information and logs is enough for you to troubleshoot this issue.
Can anyone help in regards to Windows 10 firewall settings for NextPVR please? Yesterday evening I'd been trying to sort out an unrelated program and its firewall settings and ended up restoring all firewall settings to default.
NextPVR server is working fine, however one of the clients or the Kodi NextPVR Addon on another computer is reporting the following when trying to connect:
NextPVR Addon
Addon couldn't be loaded
An unknown error occured
Which is no doubt something I've done when I reset the firewall settings on the main/server computer as it's been working without a hiccup for the last year. So thought it best to check as to which exact firewall rules need adding again. (Is it just port 8866 needs adding as an incoming rule?)
Hi
I have just had to reinstall win10. NextPvr was working fine but after the reinstall of Nextpvr, i cannot access any tv channels.
i also seem to have to start the Nextpvr server manually.
From the nextpvr web browser I can see the message
Device Starting. Please Wait. Then streaming failed Transcoder exited.
I have tried various decoders, Lav, Microsft FFDSHOW TO NO AVAIL.
i can see in the logs a skin no loading message. I can also see a playback stopped mesage
Not sure what all this means. Any help much appreciated
I am Running Pop_OS! 21.04 and using the Hauppauge 1250 tv card.
I have gotten tv to show up a couple times, usually after a full system restart. For some reason, restarting the nextpvr service does not seem to have the same effect. I am not really sure where to begin as far as making it work consistently. My end goal is to use NextPVR in conjunction with Emby.
hellllo, i wanted it to try this but its seems to lag buffer and ages to change channel, in nextpvr desktop, with error and mpeg1 and aac sound decoder, and i had done correctly with lav program and use lav
in kodi it working better but recording fails in kodi and all over dont now why can u see something in the log ?maybe i hope i can be helped and can use the program as it intended to
downloaded my log for developer to check maybe i hope tia
cant seem to find play pause button either
also change the keyboard controls ?
1) I would love the option of "Advanced" when you go to record something. Right now it is just Record Once or Record Series but no way to customize it like you can on the web. Is that possible?
2) playback controls when watching recorded content would be great. (FWD, Reverse, Skip Forward). Right now I have a plex folder syncing to the content for that but would nice to have it in app if possible
3) when I try to connect to my server using a public IP I get a blank guide. But it works on the web.
I've got an IPTV xc-api service which I've used with next pvr for a while with no problems.
However, when I refresh the channel list, in the webui, the channel list doesn't ever populate, and the logs indicate that it doesn't make the connection to the server. I can remove the device, and add another with the same details, and it pulls the channel list no problems, but I don't want to have to do that every time the lineup changes.
I am not sure if this is a NextPVR problem or a Kodi / Libreelec issue but I will start here and if I need to move I will do that. Yesterday morning I upgraded to LibreElec Intel/Generic v10.0B5 but hadn't had time to do much with it other than have a swift look around at what might have changed, I certainly wasn't doing anything at 02:20 this morning.
This morning I found that several recordings had failed / been missed because 'Service Not running at Recording time' or '807 No Video Data'.
I initially thought this might be because the UK providers (BBC/ITV) are changing their schedules to accommodate football and/or tennis at short notice, so I wasn't too worried about the soaps (Emmerdale/Coronation Street/Neighbours) until I also discovered that a series of Star Trek films (starting at 18:20 on Friday July 2nd) also suffered from the same problem but on a channel (Film4) that shouldn't have been affected by the BCC/ITV schedule changes.
I don't have (and never have had) a Channel 807 in NextPVR and it also doesn't exist on my HD Homerun Quatro set up either.
Martin - I know your initial response will be that the RPi4 isn't up to the job (and yes you have told me so - often) but this is the first time in nearly 18 months that recordings (like the Star Trek recordings) have failed in this way.
The issue with Kodi/LibreElec seems to muddy the water somewhat as starting at around 02:20 this morning I start to see the following errors:
2021-07-03 02:20:19.649 [ERROR][86] Unexpected error in RecordingRequestHandler.HandleRequest():
which just happen to reference one of the errant Star Trek recordings (Star Trek_ The Wrath of Khan (1982)) - coincidence ?
