I am new to NextPVR and was setting up extra-locast. Everything seem to setup fine. I can see the channels and program guide, but when I go to click on a show I get "Failed to start requested stream". Based off of other help given in this forum I ran "C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\scripts\locast\locast.bat" 1077. This gave me the following
Namespace(format='smart', tune='1077', base=None, stream=False, reverse=False, default=None)
1077
extralocast v0.70

two UI update errors:
if you go to TV Guide and do a "record once" for a program (in my case "Molukkers in Nederland....") it turns red and it starts recording... so far so good. But if you then cancel the recording, for example after a few minutes from the same TV guide UI page, the color stays red in the TV Guide. I had to manually refresh (F5) the page to return to normal grey on black color. So thats the first UI error.
But if you click on the same program again it still thinks its recording since only the button "cancel recording" is visible (and Close button) and Watch Now button if program is still airing. This is the second UI error.
I made sure the recording was not still running by checking:
-tuner status from NextPVR settings
-tuner status in HDHomeRun
-the recording file was not getting bigger
In the second screen below you see after I cancelled the recording AND did a refresh.
The first screen below is when you thereafter click on the program. Notice the "Cancel Recording" button still visible while recording is not running anymore (also when waiting for like 10 minutes).
greetings Jan
I would like to confirm that this issue it unique to NextPVR software before I follow up with TBS.
so far, I have tested on the same machine with DVBViewer and I can confirm recording 2+ simultaneously.
Please let me know if you need any other info to help diagnose the problem.
Kodi 19 + Simple IPTV client addon with timeshift enabled
NextPVR Mac Server + Kodi 19 + NextPVR client addon with timeshift enabled
Switching channels seems to be much faster and smoother when Simple IPTV is enabled as the backend instead of NextPVR.
Knowing that both clients use the Kodi Inputstream FFmpeg Direct plugin for timeshift, why is there a significant difference between the two? Also, Real time works perfectly with the NextPVR client so it doesn't seem like a server issue.
I can watch OTA stations in the browser but when i run it from the the desktop iy errors out saying there is no AC3 Decoder. It saysi can choose one in settings but there is not a decorder option in settings
I had an issue with nextpvr 5.1.1 & had to uninstall & reinstall. Everything now works fine except that existing TV recordings are not showing in 'recordings'. All new recordings show both in 'recordings' & the Windows TV recordings folder. All previous recordings are listed in the Windows TV recordings folder alongside the new recordings. How do I get the previous recording to show in 'recordings'?
