  WebCams2 version 3.0 - for PVRX2
Posted by: McBainUK - 2007-10-10, 09:27 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (10)

Have just uploaded a new version, download from the wiki page.

For the full list of changes see the wiki, but the big ones are:

  • Added Archive View (see all the images you have saved).
  • Improved config app.
  • Added the Info button to view WebCam’s description.
  • Much better handling of image downloads to reduce hangs etc.
Post comments below, support questions here.

  Comskip, Comclean, Rename Recording, and Transcoding
Posted by: heath11 - 2007-10-10, 09:18 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (18)

GBPVR 1.0.16

I am looking to remove commercials, rename the recording and then transcode - all automatically.

I have comskip, comclean, and renamerecording in a postprocessing.bat file and then GBPVR config set up to transcode overnight. With that being said the automatic transcoding is a lower priority than the first three items.

I am getting errors in the comclean.err file and renamerecording doesn't always work. The last example of this was a recording that appeared to have comskip run fine (identified by the 2 .txt files) but the new output .mpg file from comclean was not produced and the two .txt files were renamed with the episode name (but not the .mpeg file).

Also, it seems that when the files are renamed then they are not available in the recordings page but they are available on the video library page.

What is the best way to remove commercials and rename the recording? Do I need to make a change to my setup? Secondarily, I'd like to be able to transcode the renamed file automatically (overnight based on the "Wake Machine" setting) - (I understand that the transcoding is *use at your own risk*).

Thanks for your insight

  New Graph filter for Pinnacle 310i
Posted by: 7ore - 2007-10-10, 06:12 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

I reinstalled the OS on my comp a couple of days ago. After that I couldn't get my Pinnacle 310i to work in GBpvr. But it did work in Pinnacles TV-Center.
So I used the GraphEdit program in the wiki and founsd out that the new driver have changed the name of the filter.
With this settings in BDA.ini it works (Well I just have started a channel search, wich is far better than the "No capture cards found" I got before:

[Pinnacle PCTV 713x]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=Pinnacle PCTV 713x Tuner BDA DVBT Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=Pinnacle PCTV 713x Tuner BDA Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

  Transcoding Quality - DIVX
Posted by: rattenbo - 2007-10-10, 05:39 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Folks,

I am running GBPVR 1.0.16 with an Hauppauge PVR-150 board. So far everything has been working exactly as advertised! Kudo's to the development team!

My question is about setting the transcoding quality. I currently have the MPG's converted to DIVX AVI's and then the MPG's are deleted. The recordings usually take place at Medium or High quality settings and look really good. The DIVX output, unfortunately, looks really bad and is still quite large. I know that DIVX video's can be much higher quality and have smaller file sizes. Is this a function of the transcoding utility or is there somewhere I can play with the settings that are used? I haven't found anything in the manual to help. I am also willing to move the transcoding to an external utility and just script the transcode step outside of GBPVR, if that seems like a better solution.

Any ideas?

Thanks

-Richard-

  Connecting HTPC to HD CRT TV
Posted by: Phillydude411 - 2007-10-10, 04:22 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (3)

Hi, I'm about to go crazy trying to connect my newly built HTPC to my old Sony HD ready CRT tv (model: KV-34HS420)... HELP would be highly appreciated.

HTPC cofig:
Gigabyte G33-S2H motherboard w/ HDMI, DVI, & VGA output
Hauppauge PVR 150MCE
Intel 6550 w/ 2GB memory
NVidia Purevideo drivers
Windows OS

TV Input: HDMI, Component, S-video, Composite, Coaxial

First I tried HDMI -> HDMI - picture showed up really small, flickering, and unreadable, I guess due to overscan issues?
Then I tried DVI -> HDMI, same results as above.
Then DVI -> Component - Got NO signal.

My goal is to use the TV as desktop w/Windows and GBPVR for TV/media.

What do I have to do to make this setup work? VGA to component?

  No TVGuide Channel Number after upg 1.0.16
Posted by: Troy01 - 2007-10-10, 02:58 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I upgraded to 1.0.16 with almost no problems.

After setup of ScheduleDirect I have the schedule but the channel number is missing from the display screen. The numbers are there because I can hit a channel number on my keyboard and TVGuide shifts to the channel.

Any help would be appreciated.
