Hi. on a v5 multiple tuner unit had to update the channels. I did so by rescanning tuner 1. How do I export the channels from tuner 1 and import them into the other tuners without rescanning all the other tuners?
I have searched all over for the export/import channels buttons but it seems to evade me on this version. Back when I did the very first scan it asked me if I wanted to copy the stuff from the 1st tuner to the others but I dont see that coming up now that I am rescanning.
I am having trouble making the new pluto tv update work.
The update does not run at 8am as it is supposed to.
There is no update.lock file in the plutotv directory (/opt/var/nextpvr/scripts/plutotv)
The pluto-xmltv.xml file is time stamped from the morning update at 02:45.
Running PostLoadEPD.sh from the terminal window results in an update.lock file being added and three hours later having the EPG refreshed with the pluto-xmltv.xml file appropriately time stamped. But there is no corresponding update.lock file generated.
Using NextPVR to update the EPG will report that the PostLoadEPG.sh file is running, but it does not generate the update.lock file and there is no update after the 3 hours.
Logs attached. I think the terminal update (after 3 hours) took place at 1:17 pm.
My PostStartup.bat file contains the command 'dotnet "C:\Program Files\NextPVR\nscripthelper.dll" -updateepg'. This has been working fine on several machines.
I have built a new PC with Win 10 x64 20H2 and NextPvr from the website. nscripthelper fails with the message 'Could not resolve CoreCLR path. For more details, enable tracing by setting COREHOST_TRACE environment variable to 1'
I have run with the COREHOST_TRACE set to 1, but as I am not a dotnet developer, it does not help much!
I get the same results in the nrecord.log and from the command prompt (regular and admin) The output is in the attached log - any assistance appreciated!
We used to be able to tune a channel from VLC using http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8866/live?channel=xxxx. Admittedly I haven't tried it since I can't remember when but has something changed? I'm not able to connect with that url in VLC. I'm just trying to do some troubleshooting.
Just installed NextPVR (tried on both Debian 10 and Ubuntu 20) using USB DVB-T tuner. Verion Version: 5.1.1.210329 using the install method described in this forum.
When I do a channel scan for my region I get all the channel results I'm expecting to see in the web GUI but not all of them are in the adapter0-DVB-T-channels.conf file. If I do another scan I might catch some of the missing configs for channels but then others are missing.
I can't figure out how to get the adapter0-DVB-T-channels.conf file to be updated with new channels found rather than replace the entire file with the latest scan each time.
I also installed the firmware for my card (dvbsky s960) via
Code:
cd ~
wget http://www.dvbsky.net/download/linux/dvbsky-firmware.tar.gz
tar xfvz dvbsky-firmware.tar.gz
cd dvbsky-firmware
sudo ./copy-firmware.sh
which results in
Code:

The Tuner card is found in the nextpvr setting page!
--> I did a first scan on ASTRA 19.2E and added some of the channels found to my channel list. The tuning and the search seems to work (at least some channels are found!
However, as soon as I try to switch to one of the channels (from a frontend pc with the browser or kodi) i get an error msg:
Here is the output of service nextpvr-server status
Code:
Apr 04 23:37:10 raspberrypi systemd[1]: Started NextPVRServer.
Apr 04 23:49:37 raspberrypi server.sh[608]: ERROR frequency: 8006.25 MHz is out of LNBf range
Apr 04 23:49:37 raspberrypi server.sh[608]: ERROR FE_SET_PROPERTY: Invalid argument
Apr 04 23:49:37 raspberrypi server.sh[608]: ERROR Can't find device
I actually dont know where the frequency 8006.25 MHz is comming from since I tried to switch to
Code:
Das Erste HD
at f = 11494 (h) @ 22k
I im serioulsy wondering how to fix this (since i tried out various stuff now for like 4 hours....). However I am very new to linux so might just be something obvious....
And finally, in case it is relevant, the output of uname -a
Code:
Linux debian 4.9.0-15-armmp #1 SMP Debian 4.9.258-1 (2021-03-08) armv7l GNU/Linux
Will NextPVR work on this architecture? I see it runs on the RPi, so it seems somewhat agnostic, correct? Unfortunately, these are the only logs I have.
The installation was done through the official .deb package, as listed here: https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=59390
The hardware is a repurposed Seagate Personal Cloud NAS.
We use the NPVR server and client on the same PC in the living room. In the past, I could just switch on the TV and use my Harmony 650 remote to control NPVR. Over the last few months, NPVR never seems to have focus after a system reboot. Using the remote does nothing. The screen saver logo just keeps wandering around the screen. I have to use the trackpad on the keyboard to click anywhere on the NPVR menu screen and then everything works perfectly. One thing I have noticed that didn't used to happen in V4 is that if I Alt-Tab, there is a Device Status window open in the background after every reboot. That might not be related, but I don't want to leave out any details.
Any ideas what might be causing this? IIRC, I copied over config.xml from V4 when I installed V5. Perhaps there is a line missing from that file that V5 needs?
every time I start next PVR while watching a program the screen freezes and I get a message saying the device I am using is neede for recording and gives me the option to return to main menue.
As I have no recordings scheduled I checked the program status to find the following: "Recording: C:\devxxxxxx\null.ts". Can you please tell me the cause of this and how I can prevent it?
Cheers
