I have a Raspberry Pi 4 and an AverMedia TD310 USB T.V. Dongle. I want to run on Linux, probably Raspbian.
I want to run Kodi so that if there is a power fail / whatever, when the system reboots, it's Kodi that comes on.
What is the Best/Fastest way of installing whatever to achieve this??
I don't mind if I have to use docker. I am not a newbie, but all the old/bad information out there is driving me nuts!!
I just can't get the NPVR backend to load.
I would like to know if you can help me, I have been using Locast and it works perfectly but when trying to record a Movie it hangs in Locast's own advertisements, which occur every 15 minutes, I was seeing that with Pluto they corrected the problem using https: // forums. nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=61463&page=2 with the streamlink utility, checking locast.py I see that it use ffmpeg, is there any way to use the same trick of pluto with locast?
Under Kodi 19.0 Matrix, knewc 2.9.4 is automatically uninstalled
during Kodi startup with the error message "Error reading end tag.".
This happens whenever the addon.xml file is updated to
uncomment the "extension point" line for automatic startup.
Is there a way to add a video folder to the UI by editing config.xml?
I was able to add a menu item by editing config.xml and have it display on the UI but I can't figure out how to get it to point to a directory. Currently I have the menu item "Videos" defined in config.xml. I would like to add one called "TV Movies" and have it point to a directory with some video files.
Tried to install V5, but when I clicked on link (https://nextpvr.com/NPVRSetup.exe.), The page blinked and that was it. I have version 4.2.5 and it should update automatically at start, but doesn't. Tried to update since I am having problems with recordings stopping early. Dale Dewing
I have a Ceton infinitv 4 and I can add my tuners and scan for channels but when I auto merge there are channels with the same name that I want to keep separate. I could one by one merge the channels or rename the duplicates but there are 900 channels and about 275 duplicate names I want to keep separate.
Is there a way of just sequentially merging the channels? Maybe in SQLite or xml?
How is the merged channel information stored in the channel table?
All guide searches return zero results regardless of search string. Same result with Windows client and via browser.

Is this recoverable, or do I need to start over clean?
I am trying to fault find an intermittent Resume function on my system using the NextPVR New Client and trying to use Nlite as a different client to see if it has the same problem or it its a server problem.
It does not "resume" and always starts at the beginning.
None of the MCE remote buttons seem to Fast Forward or Skip Forward. The bar does advance but immediately resets to zero.
Pause and resume seem to work for the video but the timeline resets to zero on resume.
I tried it on two different PCs.
I did try it for some reason a year or two ago but that may have been with NPVR V4 and I thought it worked OK then.
