While skinning the new 1.0.16 PVRX2 I have noticed a couple of differences on the MVP over the PC, I'm not sure if they are known issues or maybe just not implemented yet??
All these things work fine when viewing on the PC.
1, When scheduling a (conflicting) program in the tv guide the conflicts pop-up doesn't pop-up.
2, When you select âfind allâ in the tv guide the pop-up does it's thing but you can't select anything from it.
3, I know sub has mentioned this in other posts but I was surprised at how much out it was, with the larger fonts I have set-up in the recording screen when you select âRecord Season (all in this daily timeslot, this channel)â it was displaying on two lines so I thought 'wonder if I can get that onto one line by making the pop-up etc. bigger' I achieved this on the PC but when I viewed it on the MVP it showed âRecord Season (all in this daily timeslot, this chanâ & had cut off ânel) â This seems to me to be a fairly big difference in the display & probably why I had so much difficulty getting things to look right on both the PC & MVP, while I can live with the difference just wonder why it was so much?
I've been running GBPVR v 99.12 since it was released (well many versions before that but stuck with 99.12 'cos it did everything I wanted).
I was running 4 x MVP's with it, no probs.
Today I decided to upgrade to GBPVR v 100.16
Looks great (thanks SUB)
But now MVP's just don't respond.
I was running Martin's MVPMC dongle before because it gave me slick volume control.
I don't understand what I've done wrong but know it is me being stupid!
. Intalled 100.16 GBPVR on clean sytem (XP)
. All previous set ups with my router and ports remain the same as
when I had to tweak before.
. No MVP is not finding the new dongle
. I know it is me being stupid but what have I missed!!!????
for some reason I no longer have channel numbers with the network name in the guide. What used to say for example 7 CJOH now just has CJOH in the guide. I have @175 channels and I can't begin to remember all the network names so I would love to get the numbers back. What did I do wrong? TIA
I have it integrated in my LG laptop. Guess it's not supported, what a shame. I have spent a lot of time testing different mediacentre software searching for DVB subtitle support and DVB EPG, and have not found one yet. Perhaps someday GB-PVR will support nano. http://www.fusionhdtv.co.kr/ENG/Products/dvbtnano.aspx
so my HTPC has died once again...looks like the PSU this time. I was wondering what you guys do to ensure that your computer has a long life. What kind of maintenance do you do and do you guys have backup plans to get it back up and running in as little time as possible? Data back up is easy...it's the hardware that's more time consuming I think.
I have a MediaMVP that has the "too dark and too red" problem. I would like to be able to use ZProcess to solve this problem for all my recordings (the standard mpg's that GBPVR produces), not just .avi's.
I am very new to ZProcess, could someone please help me out with how to set this up, given that it is possible with this utility?
Thanks!!
I'm finding the font sizes in PVRX2 to be a little small on my 36" television, and there's no way my parents would be able to use PVRX2 as is on their 27" television; GBPVR.exe works fine.
Is there any way to make PVRX2 use bigger fonts? Is it possible to do by screen - i.e., just for the TVGuide?
Thanks.
PS - I waited for the search function to come back before posting this, but I couldn't find anything at all about this.
I was disappointed to see there were some forum problems the last couple of days, but I've done some things which should hopefully fix it. Please let me know if it's still screwy for you.
The main hard drive in my desktop PC crashed over the weekend. I have all my data on a 2nd drive. But the problem is that I need to re-partition my 2nd drive in order to temporarily install Windows onto it.
Anyone have any recommendations on a good partition manager that will not destroy data and can boot from a CD? Free is good, but I may buy
