Recordings preview image in folder list view
Posted by: kendrak24 - 2007-08-14, 06:31 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi!

Thanks for another superb release, Sub!

I generate preview images of all my recordings (in PostProcess.bat) and
in the Recordings.xml skin file I changed the @folderPreviewImage to @previewImage for the DetailsViewXXXXFolder sections, and that worked in 1.0.8 (showed the preview image for the latest recording in the folder) but it doesn't work in 1.0.16.
I assume it wasn't supposed to work and that it is a bugfix. But it was really nice to have and I just wonder if it still is possible to get this to work somehow? I haven't got the @folderPreviewImage to work either but maybe that isn't done yet?

TIA

  Schedule Direct question

sub, I'm not sure if you can answer this but I have a question regarding the Subscription Agreement.

Quote:Any attempt to access Licensed Data via software not included on the Approved Software List will constitute a breach of this Agreement.
Does this mean that if we want to use an app like I-XMLTv (for example) that it will need to be approved?

Went on vacation so only using 1.0.8 and while on vacation i was recording shows. I seem to have to issues

1) When the Recording shows Reds it usually over powers the tv and makes it look like the reds are strong then they should be....

2) When watching the Recording or live TV it seems to go off the screen with the OSD and the General picture Any ideas?

  PVRX2 submenus 1.0.16
Posted by: pastro - 2007-08-14, 05:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

For the most part submenus with less than 4 items are working perfectly. The only problem that I have seen is when there are only one subitem (besides back). In this case the back button will come into focus but when the other item should be highlighted the area is blank, but it still goes to the subitem correctly. At any rate, there is no point in one subitem in a submenu so I'm changing that, but thought I would report it anyway.

  Program denied permission to shell
Posted by: zehd - 2007-08-14, 03:54 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (5)

This is a general question.

Can anyone think of ways that Windows (non-Vista) would deny access to a program from shelling a batch file?

The program is running in the desktop session, manually (double-clicking) and not accessing a network (not passing through a firewall)

For Details: I can't get this to happen for myself.. A user is using ZSchedFix. The first function is to create a batch file...

THen it shells that batch file. In reality it doesn't matter what's in the batch file. The batch won't even run (to succeed or fail)...

any help would be appreciated

  Dvb-epg
Posted by: AlanC - 2007-08-14, 02:31 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Tried out the 10016 code for this. Doesn't seem to save anything in the guide. Logs show scanning OK. Hoped for ITV1 but when nothing new was picked up, I used 'Empty EPG' and ran 'Update EPG' from Config. Result was nothing at all. Please find attached logs etc.
P.S. I am using DVR-MS mux so I am collecting gbepg-T... files that are not deleted after scan.

Uppercase first letter in subtitle (.srt) file.
Posted by: DrDDT - 2007-08-14, 01:39 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (10)

Hi!

My shows always start with an uppercase letter, but the subtitle file always with a lowercase letter:

The ellen degeneres show_20070813_16051705.mpg
the ellen degeneres show_20070813_16051705.srt

XBMC won't pick up the subtitles this way.
Can this be fixed?

  using schedulesdirect
Posted by: twinfrey - 2007-08-14, 12:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I have a question. I do not want to upgrade GBPVR to the latest version on my main desktop (my pvr PC). It's working and I don't want to mess with it. I have a laptop where I can upgrade to the current version. I was thinking that I could get an account to schedulesdirect and update the EPG data on my laptop. Could I then copy over the EPG file from the laptop to the desktop and not have to worry about the upgrade on the desktop?

  What is the old adage???
Posted by: Zathras - 2007-08-14, 11:26 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Now I remember....

If it ain't broke...... Don't fix it.

In hindsight... upgrading to 1.0.16 was not the right answer for me Sad

First let me say I am to blame... I did not follow subs instructions and backup the gbpvr.db3 and config.xml files before attempting the upgrade.

Please stamp "Loser" on my forehead :o

I now have stuttering to the point Live TV is no longer watchable

I will try some troubleshooting on my own first.

The bottom line.... I should have heeded the upgrade instructions!

Regards, Kevin

  Can't install error 1335 'cabs.w1.cab' corrupt
Posted by: jrockintuitive - 2007-08-14, 11:00 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I tried rebooted. Shutting down tray, recording and pvrx2.

I tried the install 8 times.

Always the same error when trying to copy settings.png---

Error 1335. The cabinet file 'cabs.w1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used.

Any help would be appreciated.
