Will You be Joining Schedules Direct?
Posted by: bdgbill - 2007-08-10, 03:54 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (58)

Obviously this is for North American users only.

Will you be signing up with Schedules Direct at the initial roll out and pricing? Will you stay with them if the pricing does not go down?

Let's assume that the service will provide the exact same reliability and content that Zap2it provided.

Posted by: `ariel - 2007-08-10, 03:52 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (7)

i`m planning to move from another PVR software into GBPVR mainly because for the MediaMVP, the question is, will the KWorld Creator TV MCE TV 200 Deluxe work under gbpvr ?

PS: I can find info about this card on KWolrd website.. looks like they are no selling this or supporting it anymore.

Export Metadata per recording using SQLite
Posted by: dinki - 2007-08-10, 01:08 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (5)

I'm exploring using my GBPvr recordings in another program. What I would like to do is create a script (batch file?) that would generate an xml formatted file for each recording upon completion of the recording.

What is the best approach for this? I'm guessing that sqlite would be the easiest method? Are there any examples on using sqlite with the GBPvr database. I am very familiar with MySQL so I'm thinking things with sqlite will be very similar.

The items I would like to pull from the database would be the filename, seriesname, subtitle, season, and episode.

Any help getting started is greatly appreciated.

Max or recommended jpeg size for slideshow
Posted by: bpowell555 - 2007-08-10, 12:31 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (2)

Hi Chaps

I now very rarely get crashes on audio and video although a photo slideshow will cause a crash pretty quickly (I'd like to play a slideshow with music...). My jpegs are normally 3-5mb. Is it purely an image file size problem or is there something else?

Cheers!!!

  Gapless Audio
Posted by: bpowell555 - 2007-08-10, 12:24 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Yo dudes! Looking forward to checking out version 1 tonite Smile

I have a question about mp3 playback - when tracks on an album mix in to each other mp3 playback results in gaps. Ogg vorbis (and itunes) allows for gapless audio. What is the best way to get this with GBPVR, bearing in mind I use it most through an MVP.

Cheers!!!

I have found a couple programs that claim to do it, but none seem reliable.

Updated video drivers, lost mpeg playback
Posted by: cprossu - 2007-08-10, 06:23 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

hopefully this will be an easy fix, but I just upgraded my video drivers from a beta catalyst 6.10 made so that folding@home could use the GPU to catalyst 7.7, and I've lost all mpeg playback win gbpvr. I cannot even watch live TV nor recorded programs anymore =(

on the bright side pvrx2's interface no longer looks like a slideshow and looks quite nice, complete with animations

playing the files in VLC still works,

any ideas?

Problems setting up with HDHomeRun unit
Posted by: DRW - 2007-08-10, 05:12 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

I just got the Silicondust HDHomeRun box. I am trying to set up gbpvr for the first time, but can't get it working.

If I try to watch live TV, I get the "Starting timeshit mode TV. Please wait." message... and then "Error: Failure playing back file".

If I trying to record I show, I get a zero duration dvr-ms file.

Is there a log that might direct me where to troubleshoot? Something you suggest I try?

Thx.

p.s. If I run the SiliconDust HDHomeRun Config application and pick a channel, I can sucessfully watch a live show via VLC.

  Playback Issue
Posted by: sevanspalm - 2007-08-10, 03:23 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

I can playback recorded shows using VLC. I can playback recorded shows using my MVP. And I can playback non-recorded DIVX files through the GBPVR interface.

I can't however playback recorded shows through the GBPVR interface. I'm on the new version (1.0.8) and have the issue with either interface (new or old). When I go to play a recorded show it the screen goes all black for a minute acting like it's going to start, and then just returns to the show listings menu.

Any ideas?
