I can playback recorded shows using VLC. I can playback recorded shows using my MVP. And I can playback non-recorded DIVX files through the GBPVR interface.

I can't however playback recorded shows through the GBPVR interface. I'm on the new version (1.0.8) and have the issue with either interface (new or old). When I go to play a recorded show it the screen goes all black for a minute acting like it's going to start, and then just returns to the show listings menu.

Any ideas?

Given the description it sounds like a problem with the video decoder you're using. Which one do have selected on the playback tab of the config app?

Do you definitely have a decoder installed? (one is built in to the MVP and VLC, so these dont prove one is present)

In the config manager --> Playback --> Video Decoder it's set to System Default. ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder is avaliable from the drop down, but switching to that doesn't change the behavior.

The ffdshow decoder is most likely your system default, so both options are likely to give the same result. Try installing the decoder from: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm

Try choosing another audio-decoder/renderer.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

I've tried them all with no success. Is there something I need to install?

What ones did you try?

It depends what type of audio you're not able to hear.

What type of files are they? If they are recorded with a capture device, what type of capture device was it.

For audio decoder all I have are System Default and MPEG Audio Decoder.

For audio render I have System Default, Realtek AC97 Audio, Default Direct Sound Device, Default Waveout Device, DirectSound: Realtek AC97 Audio.

I can't listen to video recorded with my 150MCE, I can listen to divx files though (through GBPVR). Everything works on the MVP also.
