I am sorry if this has been answered earlier. I could not locate it easily on the forums.
My question is: How to configure GBPVR to watch live internet TV? (e.g. http://www.jumptv.com/en/channel/...)
Is it possible? It would be great if I could just use the remote to have this live TV on.
Sub - this was part of a discussion we had in the past - but there was one question I don't think you've answered:
I know that the fact I'm using wireless is problematic to begin with, but still...
So - LiveTV is totally "unwatchable". There's like 1FPS (Even if wired is twice or 4 times better - still I don't see how it will become normal).
But the question is: how come watching recordings works perfectly while watching LiveTV doesn't work?
Oh - and the other question was: which of the two (streaming/sharing) requires less network resources/bandwidth? so I'll stick to the one I have more chances with...
Ok... let me begin by saying I'm new to all this, but fairly competent with computers. I'm running vista x64 and just installed a Hauppauge PVR150. Now I understand the standard dongle.bin isn't going to work (and it didn't).
I found, through searching the web, another dongle and tried it out... now I'm getting really broken sound and extremely broken video from live tv... this is marked improvement, however.
I've tried to search the forums and the web, but now I'm just going to ask... what dongle should I be using for best results?
Perhaps this is related/will help... PVRX2 has 'live tv' shaded out and clicking on it takes me to a black screen for a moment and back to the menu. Only the old UI even seems willing to try. My computer's pretty solid on the graphics side (I game a lot) so I'm thinking it may have something to do with this problem (or any one of a million other things, but I'll start here).
Well I am one of the lucky ones that has had a PVR350 that has always worked with the builds and I have never had a problem with it. I closed my eyes and hoped as I installed the new build, that I, once again would skirt fate and be able to work.
Dead.
Fair enough. This now allows me to address some issues. Do I, (shudder at this thought) just get the DVR from the cable company or press on to bigger and better things. So this leads me to a couple of questions that are in my head before moving on. I am sure they have been asked and answered more than once but a quick search didn't return my results.
In the mvpmc command line thread we went through setting the low voume defaults .....but even doing that I still have LOW volume (at max) from the MVP.
My TV is turned up loud to compensate and when I turn to normal TV my ears get blasted off and the kids wake-up. Is there a fix for the MVP itself (even a Hardware hack?) or alternatively a variable RECORDING input volume for a PVR150?
I just came by this forum today. So Hi. I have got gbpvr installed but have no idea what to do next. I have been to the capture source tab but my card is not listed. I have done some searches and I think I must alter a bda file. Please could someone tell me what to do now step by step.
Much appreciated. This piece of sotware looks amazing.
