  DVB Channels missing from EPG
Posted by: ACTCMS - 2007-08-03, 12:10 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Went on holiday for a week - came back - now missing program info for two channels (UK DVB-T Channel 4 and ITV4) - I record a lot from Channel 4 Sad .

Missing channels are on the same multiplex and are recognised by rescan (can still manually record from them and watch the recordings) but not picked up by DVB EPG reload. They still appear in the TV Guide, but at the bottom and with no prog info. Logs show for the affected multiplex (after the 60 sec scan) the radio channels being rejected as unrecognised, and the rest of the TV channels being accepted, but no sign of the missing channels. Freeview STBs still display prog info for the affected channels. Settings in gbpvr.db3 tie in with the situation - channel info is there but program info is not.

I'm sort of stuck now... :o

  wish list - unarchive

Maybe it can already do this, but, I'd like the ability to "unarchive" particular recordings.

Thanks,
Greg

Black or Grey screen in LiveTV.
Posted by: HomerDK - 2007-08-02, 08:37 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

Hi.

For sometime I have problems watching livetv, sometime i get it to work by changing the Video renderer many times, but thats very annoying.
In VMR7 or 9/custom I get black screen, in overlay manager i get grey screen, no problem with sound.

Is there something that might conflicts with the software?

Thx

Anybody ever try Orb with GBPVR and MVP?

Orb is supposed to be a media server. Has anybody used that to stream to the MVP?

  Error: Failure playing back file
Posted by: Matteh - 2007-08-02, 05:40 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (15)

Hi there,

I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction for fixing this problem, i installed gbpvr today and set it up with my Tv card

(Kworld DVB-T 100)

Its not a very good card but i was hoping this program would work better than others. I scanned for channels and updated the EPG, when i click "Map digital channels to EPG channels" i can watch tv in that video preview and hear it, my problem is when i click live tv within GBPVR and PVRx2 , now i dont know the difference between them but i know that it doesnt work in both. in GBPVR when i click it, the status changes to a file name suggesting its starting to play livetv. Then after a few seconds it goes back to sleeping and displays an error (the title of this thread)

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Running gbpvr version: v.1.0.8

Thankyou. Smile

Update: After messing with some settings, i seem to have made problems worse, i cannot scan for channels without it crashing therefore see no preview, i cannot remember the original decoder settings to see if this is the problem..

[1.08] Find all on MVP doesn't pop up show details
Posted by: bungle - 2007-08-02, 04:41 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - No Replies

On the PC this works, but not on the MVP. No plugins present. From the Guide select a show, then Find All in the menu. This brings up a list of future shows. On the PC a show can be selected to bring up a detail page, but on the MVP this doesn't work. Hitting the OK button on an item doesn't bring up the popup, and the red record button doesn't do a quick record.

I still have this problem on the MVP, not sure if they're related.
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=28083&page=2

A less serious issue: on the guide search (hitting the guide button while on the guide), an item in the list of shows doesn't change colors when it has been set to record. I'm pretty sure it did in the old version. Also, since it doesn't, I can't tell if the quick record (red record button) works on that list. I also think that used to work, but I'm not sure. (This page does not have the problem above, however - I can select a show and get the record popup.)

Hopefully someone else can duplicate this if you need the logs. I haven't been able to the last few days and we're going out of town for a long weekend, so I wanted to get this posted before I delayed any longer. I can get logs Sunday night or Monday if necessary.

John

Can I record a specific time period of say 4 hours with GBPVR?
Posted by: curt1s - 2007-08-02, 12:46 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Hello,

Is it possible with GBPVR to record say a 4 hour time slot on a specific channel rather than selecting all the individual shows?

Thanks,
Curtis

  Recording 2 Digital Channels
Posted by: rjp56 - 2007-08-02, 06:49 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi Guys and Gals,
After successfully building/trialling my Media PC with GBPVR and a Compro DVBT300 Card, I decided to add a second, this is setup as device 2, and is a Compro DVBT200.

Both have tuned in ok, and updated EPG ok.

2 Problems though firstly last night tried recording BBC1 and BBC2 at the same time, 2 different Progs, and only one recorded any ideas please?

Second, the ITV Listings are not present in the EPG now ?

All suggestions greatfully accepted.
