  keyboard remote
Posted by: steadfast9661 - 2007-07-28, 05:43 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Hi all, i have GBPVR working but am having issues using the keyboard attached to the machine as a controller, nothing happens for me. I think it has to do with the fact i have the machine (windows 2003) passworded for RDP access so the software never starts up unless i RDP in and start it thus the keyboard is connected to a crtl.alt.delete screen. I have tried installing gbpvr as a service in hopes it would start in the background so no log in would be needed, this worked but the exe is stuck as soon as it starts and i cant move around the menu with the keyboard or pvr remote (which works). I'm sure i'm over thinking this......

  Music Library 2 - Version 6.4
Posted by: psycik - 2007-07-28, 03:51 AM - Forum: Recording2, MusicLibrary2, SystemStatus Support - Replies (33)

New version downloadable from the Wiki: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/MusicLibrary2

Changes:

  • Made “Last Played” Play list entry translatable in language.xml
  • Cleaned up some of the code around saving playlists
  • Search screen now queues and plays tracks same as library screen (Ctrl-Y and Ctrl-P respectively)
  • Search screen has media details when pressing enter on a track name
  • Fixed a bug when switching from Search screen to playlist where it woulnd’t show album art.
  • Ctrl-P can now be used for starting to play a playlist
  • Fixed a bug with queuing tacks to a playlist, they would be duplicated.
  • Added ability to load a jpg based on the filename of a track - to allow for individual album art for a track.
  • Found an issue where the db connection string could get out of sync with the provider factory. Added checks and an error message
  • When no db specified set, force to sql lite
  • Fixed an error with SaveLastScan when in gbpvr.exe would try and open a config file named gbpvr.xml.

Paused live TV will not stay paused.
Posted by: nebach - 2007-07-28, 03:06 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

When pausing live TV, pausing will last about 5 minutes, then will stop and jump to a channel one higher or one lower. I recently uninstalled WinTV and 1.0.8, reinstalled WinTV, and 1.0.8 and patches.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Menu Cut Off - Work around for Nvidia
Posted by: mcragoe - 2007-07-28, 02:58 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I am not sure if anyone has seen this. I installed Nvidia 94.24 for my 6200 and found a neat utility to correct the cut off menus with my widescreen TV.

Here is how it works:

Right click on the Nvidia icon in the task bar and select Nvidia Control Panel.
Click on Video and Television.
Click on Resize HDTV desktop.
Click on Resize Desktop in step two.
Move the slider to adjust the overscan on the HDTV.
Save your settings.

This corrected the cut off menus for me. I am using a DVI to HDMI cable to a 51" TV and the Menus look great now!

  1.08 text wrapping in PVRX2
Posted by: PaulH - 2007-07-28, 02:49 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

FYI.. Noticed the long titles wrap and bleed into each other in PVRX2.exe, whereas in GBPVR.exe it looks ok (though cut off).

Windows aspect ratio size - v1.0.8
Posted by: e268 - 2007-07-28, 02:48 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I installed v1.0.8 today. I have two problems that need your help.

1. PVRX2 - I cannot change the window aspect ratio size. It got stuck at 16x9. With the old GBPVR I can change the windows width or height. So now, my tv or recordings look stretched. I tried changing it in playback (4x3), but it comes back as 16x9.

2. While watching live tv, the on screen control buttons are missing, eg. no pause, or play buttons. With the old GBPVR, I just use my mouse to click on the pause, play, ff, etc. But these buttons are missing in my PVRX2.

TIA for your help. BTW, GBPVR still works as usual.

  OT MCE500 as a WebCam
Posted by: mpking - 2007-07-27, 10:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

The reason. We just got a new puppy, and we'd like to peek in once in while.

I've got the MCE500 in my GBPVR box.

Is there a way I can use this to run a webcam, and not trod all over GBPVR? I haven't even bought a camera yet, so I'm not beyond taking suggestions for really good (CHEAP) camera's.

The other thing is I think a wireless camera is the way to go, since the computer is about 40 feet from the kitchen.

I *think* the MCE500 can be access by normal Video for windows apps, so geting the webcamera to pick it up shoulnd't be hard. I'm expecting the difficulty being getting to play nicely with GBPVR.

I use the COAX input on the Cable, so I have two cable tunes... I do own the RCA cable bulkhead, but I've never plugged it into the 500 board.
