  Conversion Translation?
Posted by: taz - 2007-07-27, 05:26 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

I have done some work to convert files recorded by GBPVR to files compatible with my microsoft Zune. I also can convert DVD's (that I own) to files compatible with my Zune. On converting a DVD the other day, the resulting wmv file was in Spanish. I checked the ripped DVD vob file and it came up in English. I use windows media encoder to convert vob's/mpg's to wmv. Has anyone else had this problem? I am assuming the only way to get the conversion in English is to rip the DVD again but deselect all other languages.

If anyone is interested in the files I use to convert the vob's/mpg's to wmv that is perfect for a Zune (no additional conversion needed), I will be happy to post it.

  Scheduling Problem 1.0.8
Posted by: bdgbill - 2007-07-27, 03:14 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I'm running PVRx2

I setup a reoccuring recording for a show. I then wanted to see if that show was avaialable in any other time slots.

Since we don't yet a have a search feature for PVRX2, I wanted to use the "find all" feature.

"Find all" is not available when clicking on a scheduled show from the tv guide. I can't remember if the old interface was the same on this.

I cancelled the reoccuring recording and used the "find all" feature to find the show in some other timeslots.

I then tried to set up the reoccuring recording that I had just cancelled. I get no error messages but it does not work. The show is not highlighted in red on the tv guide and does not appear in pending recordings. Tried restarting PVRX2 but got the same thing.

  GBPVR 99.12 stopped recording
Posted by: grangeomatic - 2007-07-27, 02:03 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I’ve been having some trouble with the basic functionality of GBPVR lately, and I’ll admit that I’m new enough that I’m not even sure where to look. I don’t have my setup complete yet (computer not in an area where I have an internet connection), so I’m just doing some simple manual recurring recordings like it’s a digital VCR to play around and learn my way around. This has been working fine for a while, so I’ve been playing with some of the plugins available. (Got gamezone working pretty well). Now it seems to have just stopped recording anything. I’m not certain, but this hangup may correspond with the installation of Showburner (which doesn’t seem to be working correctly yet…I’m assuming that’s a different subject). Perhaps the first thing I should do is uninstall showburner.
I’ll be able to spend some time with it this evening to find what’s going on. Can anyone help me out with suggestions where to start looking?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

  Bug tracking
Posted by: Ted the Penguin - 2007-07-27, 01:37 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (5)

it would be nice to have some bug tracking software associated with either just the GB-PVR plugins, or with the whole of GB-PVR. I think it would make it much easier to keep tabs on what issues have been reported, and if/when they will be fixed. certainty much easier than the forums.

but sub, and the plugin/skin developers would have to agree to use it, to make it actually effective. Smile

  Small bugs in 1.0.8
Posted by: 7ore - 2007-07-27, 12:04 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (13)

* If Daemon tools isn't located in the default folder, you have to edit the path in config.xml. Changes done in config.exe is not saved. (I think this have been there a while, I have some recollection of editing this in the former version as well.)

* If I change TV-channel and I don't have permission to watch that channel (faulty subscription card or a channel not included in package) GBpvr freeze and Ctrl + alt + del is needed.

  Various recording fail, why....?
Posted by: Pochrist - 2007-07-27, 03:04 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

I keep getting failed random recordings, I'm including the Log files and (2) Event files. The most recent are:

7/25/07 9am to 10am Dora the explorer
&
7/26/07 11am to 11:30am The wonder pets

The system is Normally in Hibernation and set to "wake to record" and i have Winoff set to put the system back in Hibernation. It was working fine for about 2 weeks, but now its getting spotty. It was supposed to start recording tonight: 7/26/07 Burn Notice at 10pm, but never woke up.

DVB-S MD not working on one PC
Posted by: soccerdad - 2007-07-27, 12:40 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi Sub,

I have been working on getting the mdapi working. I moved my dvb card over to another machine and it works with the mdapi version 2.0 beta 1 with my plugin on 1.0.8. Playback is too choppy (weak machine) so I want to get it working in my HTPC box. I moved over the exact plugin files, the mdapi and the other necessary files. I did a clean install of 1.0.8 and then tried to setup my card, using the same settings as on the test rig. In config, when scan, the mdapi ap starts and the plugin starts in the tray. Problem is the plugin does not seem to try to do anything. When you right click the mdapi icon in the tray, it just says Log and does not show the plugin like it does on the other machine. If you click to show the logging window, it says "mdapi_unknown". I am attaching the logs that it took while scanning for channels. I know this is likely not your issue, but any thoughts would be helpful. The same plugin does currently work on the HTPC box on Dream so I know the card is working. Thanks

new to gb-pvr need some help
Posted by: Ben1375 - 2007-07-27, 12:25 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi,
Is an ATI 7500 All-in-Wonder compatible with gb-pvr? If so what do I need to do to get it to work, it doesn't show up in the list. When I do the muxchecker it says i need a multiplexer filter. What do I need to do about that? Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ben
