I've searched the forums and could not find an answer to this. I'm having this problem on 3 computers all built the same. When I manual record a show,
or record from the TV Guide I have video, but the audio is just white noise.
If I'm in live TV and ctrl K to record I have both video and audio.
I'm using a pentium 4 3ghz, 2 ghz ram, ATI TV Wonder 650, ATI 1300 video card, Creative Audigy 2ZS sound card.
I have tried using different players and it happens in all players, so I'm sure it
is occuring in the recording and not playback.

I'm using a TechnoTrend S-1500 budget for Satellite and I'm having some problems getting it work and hence finalise my switch from MEdiaPortal - which is attractive but I have found it to be very unstable.

I think the problem lies in maybe getting the EPG sort out. Is this a pre-requisite to tuning a DVB-S card ? It's bda compliant.

In any event, trying to start the the GBPVR LIve Tv results in the "No Channels ..." message.

I've tried making EPG data available from XMLTV.... but I'm not 100% sure thats working.

Other software can tune the card to Astra 1C without requiring EPG. Hope thats possible with GBRPVR - since EPG is of somewhat secondary importance - since 90% of the data is for encrypted channels to which I have no access.


Let me know if I need to send along any long file or anything - but I'm struggling at the moment and would like get up and running.

i use the xmltv gui to get the epg's.

i can get filmfour , however, i cant get Filmfour +1 to show up in the TV guide.

I suppose this would happen to any channel that has a +1 schedule.

how do i get this to work?

I understand not all channel schedule information is public domain and therefore cannot be shared on GBPVR.

Does anyone know of a EPG with ITV? Or when this agreement might be made?

After zap2it labs dies, what are the options for a replacement?

I usually get 7 days ahead worth of data, but I'm reading the thread down below in general discussion. It doesn't seem promising, I'm hearing only 6 hours blocks which is worthless to me.

Hi all. Taken me a while but I've finally got a beta for ML2.

There aren't any DB changes (to the structure of the db) but back up your database. And you might want to back up your dlls as well before install.

I've wanted to get it out since I'll need to make some more changes for the new GBPVR version 1. So this needed to come out first. There will be fixes and patches needed.

is there a way i can do something so caller id wont hold the va panel screen saver from coming on?

I've got a Gyration Universal Remote control http://www.gyration.com/en-US/ProductDet...&accshow=3

It works with gbpvr, however not all the keys map exactly. Is there a way to change key mappings in gbpvr to match? The remote does not come with software, it installs like a keyboard.

I have been trying to upload a 1.2 mb zipped file for the xmltv project troubleshooting. It trys to upload then gives me an error "The GB-PVR Forums database has encountered a problem" I uploaded a small jpeg and it worked but not the 1.2 zipped. It looks like you can upload 9mb files but it wont let me. How big can I upload?
