  AutoRemoveMissingRecordings function
Posted by: Braklet - 2007-06-19, 08:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I would like to archive a significant amount of video onto a NAS drive, but I am worried about blowing my database due to network glitches. Therefore I'm pondering setting AutoRemoveMissingRecordings to "false."

What are the downsides? I'd prefer occasional DB chuff to losing contents.

  Hauppauge USB2.0 Nova-T SE (stick)
Posted by: NumberFive - 2007-06-19, 08:04 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (15)

Hi guys,

I'm having a problem getting my Nova-T SE Stick working in GBPVR. I have had it working on another computer under ProgDVB successfully, and on my HTPC using the copy of WinTV2000 it came with.

WinTV2000 describes it as:

Code:
Model 70009 Rev. C1B5 Serial #4027634097 Tuner Model/Formats: Microtune MT2060 // ATSC Tuner Audio: Mono Video Formats: NTSC ( M ) PAL ( B G H I D K M N NCOMBO ) SECAM ( L L' ) Audio Outputs: None External Inputs: 0 S-Video Inputs: 0 Teletext: Radio: None Decoder: Reserved IR: Yes MAC Address: 00-0D-FE-10-D1-B1 EEprom Contents: 84 09 00 04 20 77 00 40 b1 d1 10 f0 73 05 00 00 84 08 00 06 79 11 01 00 95 18 8d 72 07 70 73 09 00 5f 73 0a 80 73 72 0b 00 72 0f 01 72 10 01 72 11 ff 79 96

WinTV2000 Devices lists it as "PVR USB-2 > DVB-T"

GBPVR cannot see it. It shouts about "No known devices found" and won't work with the known Nova-T / HVR options.

I have had a HVR-900 work on this computer with GB-PVR.

Any thoughts much appreciated!

Error when opening Recordings on MVP
Posted by: forzaKGB - 2007-06-19, 07:26 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (3)

Hi

I am using Video Archive Panel to view recordings and that is working fine. But since a few days I am getting an error when I try to open the native Recordings-tab on the MVP (i.e. native GBPVR).
I get a box saying Specified cast is not valid and there is an OK Button but nothing happens when I try to press OK and the only thing working is power off/on of the MVP.

I attach the LOG-file in case someone can see what is wrong...

  Default Live TV Recording Quality
Posted by: matthrolf - 2007-06-19, 03:17 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

This is probably answered somewhere, but a quick search could not find the answer. If it is thanks for humoring me.

How do I change the live TV recording quality? I have scoured the config.xml with no joy.

Thanks,

Matt

  Black bars above/below picture
Posted by: steve909 - 2007-06-19, 02:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

Hello all, first post.
I am using Win XP pro, a Radeon X600 graphics card for playback, and a Hauppauge 350 for recording. I've updated the radeon drivers and control centre, and have updated the Hauppauge drivers.
My problem is this: my tv picture (a widescreen tv) always displays with a black bar across the top and bottom of the screen, and some part of the image lost to the left and right of the screen. Its as if a 16:9 image is displaying on a 4:3 tv.
I've tried underscan/overscan, but there is not enough adjustment available to expand the image. On overscan I can't reduce the image to fit, it's actually too big and I loose some of the image.
I've set the desktop size to 720x576 at the moment, but that doesn't seem to make much difference. This also affects the windows destop display size, so I think it's a fundamental setting, perhaps rather than a gbvpr setting.
Can anybody suggest when I go from here?
I have searched the forum but I can't find an exactly similar problem.
Thanks in advance.

How many WinTV PVR 500 cards in one computer
Posted by: soeren - 2007-06-19, 10:48 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (6)

Hello together,
how many WinTV PVR 500 cards can I used in one computer?
Ok, actual mainboards limit the count to 3 due their number of normal PCI slots. Is there a limitation in the GBPVR software?

Regards,
Sören Hellwig

  Remote control beginners guide
Posted by: danjerman - 2007-06-19, 09:14 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (13)

Hi,

Is there any web resources or Howtos on he subject of the remotes and the irremote.ini file? I have my remote working up to a point but would like to be able to customise it a bit, learn about how this all sits together and configure the irremote.ini to my specific liking.

Any helpful links or pointers please?

Many Thanks

  Photo Library and screen saver
Posted by: tkgafs - 2007-06-19, 07:33 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Something I have just noticed although it must always have been like this I presume

I only use gbpvr via an MVP running the mvpmc dongle and I really only use it for playing music using physiks MusicLibrary2 plugin and occasionally look at some pictures using the built in photo library.

Today for the first time I noticed that if I'm playing music and back out of the menus to the main menu, to start the built in photo library plugin, whilst leaving music playing in the background the photo library plugin appears quite rightly to disable the screensaver when it starts,

but is there any way that the screensaver could be re-enabled when photolibrary is exited, if it was enabled when the photolibrary plugin started.

  Trackball and mouse input, please
Posted by: jetgraphics - 2007-06-19, 05:57 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (6)

I use GB PVR with a computer connected to HDHomeRun. I do not have a remote control. I try to use my mouse or trackball to control functions, but the response is spotty, at best. Often, I have to use a mix of keyboard inputs and mouse to select, change channels, etc.,etc.

It would be great if the various functions like play, fast forward, rewind, and the slider bar would respond to a mouse or trackball, especially one without a scroll wheel.
