So I managed to get my Twinhan 3250 to recognize as a Twinhan ATSC but I wanted to use the Analog side of the card at the moment, not the digitial. The 2.65 drivers I installed come up that it is a DBV-TV 878 Digital Tuner/Capture device and the drivers even specific that it's a -S -C -T (which are all options for devices to select in the config but if I select a device like Twinhan DVB-C (DVB-TV 878 Digital Tuner) it won't let me assign channels to the card and the program crashes. So I'm wondering, is there a different driver I need since only the ATSC part of the card is coming up, or is it even possible to use the analog side of the card? Thanks!
I've got a problem watching Timeshifted TV, or LiveTV that's being recorded. I get no video and no audio either, It should be noted that i am running 4 monitors, primary and seconday on two X1650XT's, Ultramon(doubt that matters but might), other things that might matter:
Hardware decoder is set to none
video and audio decoder/renderer is set to system default
video decoder is VMR9
LiveTV pre-play delay 0ms
my tuner is a ATI tv wonder elite (i had timeshifted tv working with it before on another machine on primary monitor before), on that same previous machine when working if i switched to a secondary display i would lose video but the audio remained. which is weird, because on this machine i get no audio, and no video even on the primary display.
if anyone needs any other information, about my machine just ask.. if i can get this woring i'll be happy to oblige...
I have had the following situation occur repeatedly and cannot find a definitive pattern (only some ideas) of when it happens:
Circumstances that always apply:
1 I am on GBPVR 98.16b, other details in my signature
2 cable: I direct cable MVP to PC. PC has fixed IP 192.123.1.1, MVP is 192.123.1.0 per Hauppauge instructions and confirmed by using tftpd32. tftp32 makes no difference but I can confirm that MVP comes up with that IP and tftp can allocate only two IPs.
"windows connection" indicator in system tray correctly announces cable connects and disconnects of the direct cable and power ons offs of MVP
3 DHCP: I can use tftp32 as described above, but makes no difference
4. MVP software is installed and services are set to manual start and are disabled
When it works
GBPVR works for weeks at a time with occasional disconnect recovered by power off/on of MVP
When trouble starts
Generally I suspect it happens with an abort caused by trying (unknowingly)to play a recording of 0 lenght which was caused by some abort (run out of disk space, USB drive powered off, etc). When it does it may take repeated "play-abort-cycleMVP-play-abort-cycle" before it hangs permanently. Then the MVP goes to a permanent "search DHCP" and "looking for boot server"
When it does all the following, attempted in any combination, have no result:
rebooting MVP
power off MVP for up to 1 hr.
rebooting PC
running tftp32
restarting GBPVR (with or without rebooting the PC)
start stop MVP software or services
reinstalling GBPVR
what eventually fixes it
power off MVP overnight or a long time (several hours?)
start MVP software and services
mvp searches DHCP and bootserver for a long time, may be an hour (?)
eventually MVP "loads application" software
MVP cycles through search DHCP and bootserver a few times and then starts to run MVP software
(GBPVR, which has been running recording stuff on its own, makes no difference)
now - kill MVP software with the batch file (services are in manual and will not restart)
start the GBPVR server window, if it does not start on its own (normally it does)
and PRONTO (so to speak) everything works again for a while.
The MVP to GBPVR connection is the ONLY thing that ever gives troubles. Otherwise GBPVR runs beautifully for recording, music photos and video playback (video collected from internet and video I produce including MPEG and MWV). One issue in videos playback is unrelated to this thread and I'll post the question separately.
attached are all the logs with today date or from the last couple of days while I struggled with this mess
Thanks for any help. If there is any particular test you want let me know
Has anyone have an explanation why the IR remote doesnt function when boot into GBPVR directly and hiding windows (followed the instructions in bootingbpvr at Wiki)? I have see my pc boot into GBPVR and hiding windows after changing the registry setting with the instructions from WIKI, however the IR remote refuse to work. I will have to alt ctrl del to bring up the task manager to type in explorer.exe then everything back to normal again. Thanks.
when I took my desktop out of client mode (I do this frequently, since my HTPC sleeps) the tray icon still looks for the server... and when its asleep, it becomes very laggy, since its not able to connect to the machine.
it seems like the setting isnt being cleared
Code:
2007-03-28 09:46:36.609 VERBOSE [1] getValue() loading new key/value into cache: /settings/RecordingServiceLocation
2007-03-28 09:46:36.609 VERBOSE [1] getValue: /settings/RecordingServiceLocation : tcp://fergusson:7968/RecordingRemote
I have no capture sources configured on this machine, and I dont start the recording service.
After seeing the 'Kiwi' link mentioned in the forums, i thought this:
"the GBPVR youtube viewer is really useful, but its hard to browse as you would in your browser... i wish you could add links like K.S' to a shared GBPVR folder that would then show up in 'favourites'
So: i copy the link, paste it into a folder thats shared within GBPVR root folder, and then GBPVR shows a list of these links. I dont know how you would manage changing the random filenames to something that shows up as a more meaningful file name like 'Kiwi' though??
I up-dated to V0.99.12. Since that time I have been unable to get comclean to work. I believe comskip is working and it is set to call comclean however, without success. I have gone so far as to remove the entire previous version and start from the beginning. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
