I have used GBPVR for quite a while but had reinstall my OS XPSP2. I downloaded the most recent version of GBPVR. I have a Hauppauge 150. I have worked through the configuration settings. I set everything the same as previously set. The TV guide is working with the zap2it and live tv is working. I have tried setting up recordings but it only creates the folder for the show I want to record but it is an empty folder. The previous version would change the taskbar black/white "G" to black/green "G" with LIVE TV or a RECORDING. It still give me the Green "G" with LIVE TV but not with a recording. So it seems that for some reason it isn't recording? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
I have DirecTV and my receiver box is in the room next to my PC. The DirecTV box model is a D11 standard box. I have a ATI TV Wonder Pro Tuner with(Philips 1236 MKS) Card. I am using the WMD Driver and in settings it does show my ATI Card. The problem is when I start gbpvr it will only show the channel set on the direcTV box. When i hit the + or - sign to change channels it will not. The channel numbers change but it stays on whatever program is there. My ATI TV program is acting the same now also... With my ATI TV software i use to be able to use my direct tv remote with an IR sender and receiver (one in each room) to change the channels in ATI. Problem is ATI cant record programs so i wanted to which to gbpvr....Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as i have been trying to get this part to work for 2 days now..... Thanks
I encoded an mpeg2 in 480x480 which skips and fast forwards fine
I then encoded the exact same content with the exact same settings in 720x480 and it will not skip or fast forward correctly. The video freezes and the audio skips forward then plays normally.
I see there are various search plugins - the default, showsearch and Xsearch - I am keen to work out how to search for upcoming films.
In the UK with XMLTV listings download we have no tags for type of show (e.g. film, sport etc) as far as I know, so we cant use that feature
However in the longer text description, each film (and only films!) gets a score (5/5) or (4/5) ...
This means if I could search for eg (5/5) and (4/5) I would get a list of the best films coming up! This would be great but I cant find a plugin that allows search by description?
I have continued to upgrade to 99.05 - mostly everything is fab, but there one niggle still which I cant seem to sort
In the default photos plugin and with default blue skin and the config set to 16:9 TV, I am getting all the photos streched widthways
The videos/TV/recordings work fine and I can adjust the aspect by pressing the red button anyway if needed (this doesnt seem to work for photos!)
I have read previous posts which seem inconclusive:
- I have made sure it is set to 16:9 (I have a widescreen TV)
- I tried looking for a NVDIA setting to disable it from adjusting aspects and leave it to GBPVR, but I cant find any setting, and in any case I suspect this is working fine since video aspect ratio works fine in GBPVR?
- I looked for any setting in the config file but could find any
Hi, I have configure HIP to work with the HTPC and my AMP. I have configured the up and down volume of the MCE remote to send the AMP up and down volume IR signals via the IR Blasters. However I cannot hold down the button to increase the volume, I have to press the up/down buttons quickly repeatably to increase of decrease volume on the AMP. Anyone else had this problem and know of a way to fix it?
I have 2 .bat files which I use to run xmlTVNZ. One runs for only my terrestrial channels and the other runs for all my Sky channels
(including those available on terrestrial). This works well with my PVR-500 card.
Upon completion of the updates, I do the EPG update in GB-PVR, but lately I've found that it doesn't appear to have found anything for SKY for example.
I usually check this the next day, only to discover that it's picked up the data...
It's almost as if the EPG update isn't actually refreshing the TV Guide. Anyone seen anything like this?
(I'm using the latest version of both applications).
In the past, the EPG update was instantaneous whether using the System menu option from within the application or right clicking on the tray item...
I've been having this problem for ages now and I thought it was time I asked if anyone else has it. I'm not even sure if it's an xmlTVNZ issue or if it's related to GB-PVR...
I'm using the latest verion of GB-PVR (GBPVR09905) and xmlTVNZ 2.4.3.2 - but as I say, I've had this for a while - even with prior versions.
When I record a program, I need to put about 20 minutes of padding onto the end of the scheduled recording to be sure that the end of the program is recorded. I'm living in NZ and part of this could be attributed to sloppy scheduling - I need to do some testing to see if the programs start exactly when they're supposed to.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Perhaps there's an offset that everyone is using...or maybe it's just something I have to live with and default the padding to 20 mins, but I don't want to do this without checking if anyone else has seen this...
As mentioned before - several months ago, I would have considered 10 minutes to be an over the top padding amount...
