I found this freeware app that is supposed to make configuring and extending the remote.ini file for the Hauppauge remotes easier. Haven't tried it yet, but will surely look at it tonight.
Hi,
I'm having some problems playing m4a files in musiclibrary2 as well as music library. The strange thing is that I used to be able to play m4a files up to about a week ago. Now I think I've tried almost everything to regain this functionality (since 80% of my mp3s are m4a format). I first tried nuking my library and rescanning all of my mp3s. I've tried removing ml2 and reinstalling it. I also tried re-copying my old m4a files from my ipod and I still had no success with gbpvr. The problem is localized to gbpvr because I can play the files with no problem in Windows Media Player. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have two Media MVPs connected to the latest GBPVR, one is a revision D3, the other revision D3A.
The D3 plays recorded videos perfectly.
The D3A plays recorded videos but with no sound.
I am guessing that it's down to the dongle.bin file I'm using - or does anyone think it may be something else? I've downloaded the latest driver from Hauppauge and extracted the dongle.bin - no success (just the silly yellow bar other members have reported).
I've tried the default dongle that comes with GBPVR - again, same problem - no audio.
Does anyone have a revision D3A unit - if so, do you have dongle.bin that works? Would you mind sharing/emailing?
I am really new to GBPVR (today actually). I can download the TV guide with the zap2it plugin. What I was wondering is how to show OTA HD channels in the guide.
An example is: channels 2 KUTV and 2 KUTVDT both show as only 2 KUTV in the guide.
Also is there a way to show the HDTV flag in the guide.
Example: Prison Break...blah blah(HDTV)
more of a bug fix than feature request
have the sigma designs xcard and use it sometimes for playback
problem is with dvr-ms files/format, the xcard can't handle them and the machine crashes and resets to bios when gbpvr attempts live tv from dvb-t/dvb-s card with xcard playback.
so would be cool if the program stopped the xcard from attempting playback of dvr-ms files/stream
I was hopping i could get someone to look at my Post processing Bat file and let me know if i have everything set right. By the way i love this program it just took me a while to figure it out. I have it working pretty well but i have a couple of problems that i think are due to the bat file. Here is a copy of it.
Thanks for all the help in the past and in the future.
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/...CatId=1427
i found a kworld atsc card at tigerdirect
i have a few questions about it
1. Does it to on the card encoding or does it offload to the processor
2. Does it count as 2 tuners in gbpvr one digital and one analog
3. Has anyone used it and does it work well
4. In the future when more channels are out there in hd will it still work.
I am trying to get DVD video on playback to work. I use GB-PVR 99.5 and have tried changing the Video Decoders under the DVD an remote tab of the config app to no avial.
I currently have 3 options available to me in Video decoders
1. Default system
2. Intervideo
3. Cyberlink Video (Version 7)
I am think that none of these three are particular great so any others that I should get and try is very welcomed.
let me first start out by saying thank you in advance.
i've been using gbpvr for about a year now and i've never had a problem i couldn't figure out. i just upgradded to the newest version of gbpvr and now nothing works. no sound, no DVD functionality, and most importantly no TV !
i keep getting this;
error: object reference not set to an instance of an object
i have an ATI 550 pro tuner card what should i do?
I know I am going to get beat up over this, but my wife and I decided to record the Superbowl so we could watch JUST the commercials. With Comskip, we can find them easier.
Sort of ironic to want to NOT want to skip the commercials.... ;-)
