Per channel time offsets for EPG
Posted by: gbek - 2007-01-28, 05:31 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (4)

My EPG source lists one channel that is out by 30 minutes. If I want to record I have to enter a manual recording request.

It would be great if I could store an offset for that channel to be applied with the EPG is updated.

Thanks,
Greg

  ZProcess: Issue with skip/FF
Posted by: guydot - 2007-01-28, 03:46 AM - Forum: ZTools and UltraXMLTV - Replies (20)

When I watch a dvix/xvid file on my MVP, I can use skip only up to the point that the file was transcoded. If I accidentally exceed that point - the picture freezes and you have to stop and play from the beginning again.

Is there any way to transcode every new file automatically (maybe use scheduled tasks for this)? Any other idea?

  MVP Can't Connect with GB-PVR
Posted by: Absberg2k - 2007-01-28, 01:39 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (4)

I'm trying to run GB-PVR over MediaMVP and I'm having two problems (perhaps related).

First, GB-PVR runs fine on its own. When I change config and set it to run as a server with MVP (1 auto), I can no longer launch GB-PVR. It starts to launch then immediately exits back to desktop. I do not have the Hauppauge software installed (removed it) and I have MCE services disabled too.

Second issue: MVP cannot find the client without the Hauppauge software installed. With the Hauppauge software installed, it connects fine but with the Hauppauge gui (I am trying to get the GB-PVR user interface to come up). When I remove the Hauppauge software, the MVP says it cannot find my computer and I get the error: "No streaming server found."

If I put the Hauppauge software back on and uncheck server from the configuration in GB-PVR, GB-PVR launches fine and MVP finds my computer (but using its own user interface).

Logs are attached. Any help would be appreciated.

  Error message
Posted by: sat2lite - 2007-01-28, 12:55 AM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (2)

Has anyone come across this message 'Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application. Could not load file or assembly 'System.EnterpriseServices, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.' I am trying to get the web scheduler working and ran into this message when I go into the http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/index.aspx. Any assistance would be helpful.

  Archive problem with Video Archive

I get the following error message in ArchiveDB-PC.log when I try to archive. I'm running the beta test version since I couldn't get it to work with the released version.

DVD Plug in not showing up
Posted by: bobbfrommn - 2007-01-27, 11:03 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi all, getting myself back in sync with everyone else and updated to .99.5. One question on the DVD plug in, when I turned the plug ins I wanted back on they all seem to work except the DVD button doesn't even show up on the tv screen (using MVP). However if I start GBPVR locally on my computer I see it and DVD runs. I think I have the settings correct..

  Tuner card replacement advice needed
Posted by: gkreis - 2007-01-27, 11:00 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (12)

My Avermedia M150 card seems to be going out, so I am looking for a replacement. IMHO, it makes better recordings than a Theatre 500 based card I tried and sent back. (I don't want to go HD as my PC can't handle it and I don't have digital cable.)

I am looking at the Avermedia AverTV Purity 3D MCE 250 card and I see it in the direct.ini file (though it is not on the wiki page for capture cards). Anyone have experience with this card? It would be helpful if folks could record their feelings about their cards in the Wiki table, but I am not really sure how to do that without creating a database to collect them and average out ratings.. a lot of work.

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...reCardList

The obvious model, the Hauppauge PVR 150, showed up in Google scans with complaints about installation and VERY loud sound. Was that fixed in the PVR 150 MCE?

Suggestions appreciated....

  Memory leak playing MP3's
Posted by: pastro - 2007-01-27, 10:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I'm using 99.5 and whenever I play an MP3 the memory usage goes up by 10 meg each time I play a new mp3. This behavior is seen in Music Library and on web radio. I disabled all plugins and the same behavior is seen. I only see this on my win2k computer and not on my xp computer. Can someone else give this a shot and see if they see the same behavior?
Thanks.
