A rather large part of my music collection is in the genre classic. These records are usually organized in the folder path:
composer/performer-dirigent/album/track.
My tracks are carefully tagged so they all have the composer field set, but I can't find a way to use it in GB-PVR.
I am working with cincyreds on developing a major overhaul of the Themes and Theme structure for EWA. The restructuring will allow more robust themes to be developed and offer the opportunity for Theme Developers to emerge.
I just upgraded to 0.99.5 and am having an issue. I've found several threads on cpu spiking which may or maynot be what is happening here but the exact problem didn't seem to match. Essentially when I go into Task Manager I watch GBPVR.EXE pop on at somewhere between 80% to 97% and then pop off. I can count three from time it goes off to when it comes back on, it stays on for a one count. I'm not sure if this is the spiking others have referred to in other posts. This is happening when GBPVR isn't activly being used.
I went through the survival guide and
I'm not running NOD32, Panda Antivirus, WebRunner and Net Limiter
I don't use OnAir GT
I don't have satelite
I've shutoff all plugins.
This happens with zonealarm on and off
winxp home sp2
attached is a screen shot of what it is doing in the task manager as well as the logs
I'm capturing from a Pace 4010 STB from the composite output via a SCART adapter. S-Video capture produces a horrible monochrome image. The STB outputs RGB and composite but obviously not s-video.The composite capture is OK, but a bit jerky on fast action sequences. To capture in s-video I therefore need a RGB to s-video converter. I can find these for £80 or so.
My question is - is it worth it? Will I notice much difference? Will the quality of the captured MPEG image improve significantly? All advice greatly appreciated - thanks!
I'm capturing from a Pace 4010 STB using a Hauppauge HVR1300 composite input. The result is OK, but slightly jerky with a bit of shadowing/smearing, especially with fast moving scenes. Capturing from the BDA devices is a lot better. I see the same problem with Hauppauge WinTV software, but when I look at the MPEG capture settings in WinTV for DVD quality it seems to only do it at 720x480, not 576 which I thought was correct for PAL. I can't see anywhere in the WinTV software to change this. In GB-PVR the MPEG capture settings for LiveTV and High quality recording have 720x480 or 720x576 at the top for either NTSC or PAL - I presume it knows which one to select. Also, I'm aware the frame rates between PAL and NTSC are different but nowhere in either WinTV or GB-PVR is there a setting for this -again, I presume it's implicit as I'm in PAL territory.
My question is - is there any way of adjusting these settings so I get smoother playback and recording? Are there some ideal settings for PAL composite capture that I should be using? Could I have a frame rate problem or would it be unwatchable?
I'm not sure if I have to add a plugin or not, but I'm not seeing any data in my search guide. Do I need to install something extra. I have a zap2it account, and my tv-listings show up correct. I just can't search.. What am I missing?
I hesitate to put this in support as it's probably a driver problem?
It doesn't do this on most recordings, only on the odd one - doesn't seem channel dependant.
I've just had a recording from DVB-t that seems to show the same problems as the old PVR150 timeline problem - wierd distances skipping back and forth. Some back skips seem to go forwards, some seem to stay in the same place = forward probably goes much to far.
I would have thought that DVB-t being digital reception, that all the timebase stuff would come down with the broadcast. There again I have no idea how thes mux things work, so it may be in there somewhere. I'll try videoredo to do a quicksteam fix and see if that fixes the file (I guess it will?).
Logs attached along with a cut/paste from muxchecker. Multiplexer in config set as cyberlink (v 5.0.1307 ). recorded programme 27th at 1740 to 1840 "the best of you've been framed"
I am using Recordings2 and I really like it. My problem is, that my recordings are scheduled via TV Listings wich has alot of information from the EPG which are saved with the recording. In Recordings2 now only a limited space is available and you can not scroll as you can in TV Listings.
Would it be possible, to add the scrolling feature to Recordings2 as well?
I am getting my video from my STB and I do not want GBPVR to change the tuner channel from channel 4. I have the ir blaster setup and working (sort of see below) to change the channel on the STB. However, when I change the channel from the gui or remote, the tuner channel changes and it tries to change the channel on the STB through the IR Emitter.
How do I set GBPVR not to change the channel on my PVR150 tuner card?
I am in the last phase of getting my Motorola DCT6200 to accept IR from the blaster. Check out my thread in hardware for more details. This seems like a constant thread starter.
