when i create a capture source, and then go to settings under recording source, what should i have as the source and for the quality profile settings?

i tried several for sources, but something came up about not having the right drivers and i don't want to mess it up.

I record mostly blue's clues, dora the explorer, CSI, Ugly Betty, etc
My recordings for non-cartoons are too dark when play back.....
Is it because of my settings? If so, where should I reconfig?

Hi,

I have had my nose to the grindstone for the last 36 hours so I am not firing on all cylinders.

I have been doing alot of cleaning up in GameZone ready for the next emulator to be added.

I am receiving the following error in config.exe.log, can someone point me in the right direction of what I should be looking for. Please bear in mind I am not a programmer by trade and need thing spelling out to me in lay mans terms :-)

It would seen the issue is in GameZoneTask and not GameZoneConfig does that seem a correct assumption?

This one is strange...my network shares for pictures and video are working properly (pick up fine in the menu), but my recordings directory on the NAS isn't picking up (from the GBPVR menu I am unable to see my recent recordings). Is there something I am missing in the config.xml or elsewhere? I recorded these in a different original directory, but recently stood up a new NAS, so migrated all of my directories and mapped them accordingly in GBPVR config. Any assistance or insight appreciated-

*these are samba shares, but I don't think that matters since the video and pictures libraries pick up fine....there is just something going on with the recordings directory..(config.xml clip below)

A little while ago, I added code to ZProcess so that it would toggle between ffmpeg and mencoder and ffmpeg and so it can be called from the MVP screen.

Also, I added code so that you could toggle between on and off for the new, but unsupported GB-PVR feature of transcoding ALL video (including MPGs)...

Here's how to add the custom tasks in GB-PVR...

In GB-PVR's Configuration tab, Click add task

Then fill in the info, paying attention to the arguments:

• RestartMVPserver
  
• ToggleTranscoder
  
• StopAllTranscodes
  
• MvpTranscodeAllVideo
  

I didn't know where to post this but I had to say something. After trying several different PVR software packages I was quite disappointed. But now....Wow! I've just gotten everything installed and started testing the system. Nice job! I was blown away.

After seeing all the plugins available I thought this was too good to be true. Thanks everyone for supporting this software. Your work is very much appreciated. I guess after all my testing is done I'll have to make a donation.

At this post http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?p=170368 I´ve mentioned that the "Complete EPG Reload" isn´t working on my 98.13b system.

I tested again right now, with the option enabled in config and a newer xmltv file and noticed that the shows that were on the database before the update still there even if they aren´t listed on the new xmltv.xml. Also, when the schedule changes from one update to another I get two shows overlaping.

Need to say that I have the same device configured 5 times as 5 different capture sources with SoftwareRecorder plugin. The first is for the air channels (and uses xtmltv.xml) the second for my sky box using the composite in (this one uses another xmltv.xml) and 3 more different sources for Composite In (PAL-M & NTSC) and SVHS In.

Suddenly, my GB-PVR installation starts up in full-screen mode instead of in a window. Clicking on the maximize/window button in the upper right corner has no effect-- it's effectively stuck in full-screen mode.

I was running a slightly out-of-date version, so I just now downloaded the latest and greatest and installed it-- no change.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what happened and how to fix it?

I've always wonder what happens with primetime shows in the US in regard to different timezones. You guys live in a large country, spanning many timezones. Is "primetime" the same in each of these time zones (shows play at different local times in different parts of the country), or one nation primetime which varies depending where you are (shows play at the same time in New York and LA)? Can anyone tell me?

Do the big channels do national broadcasts, or are the shows broadcasts at the times appropriate to the timezone by local affiliates?

Can a restart be sent via EWA?

Does it know when someone is logged in and prevents a system hibernate?
