Currently, the Recording Now: and Recording Soon: information on the Main Menu shows only one upcoming recording at a time, cycled continuously every few seconds.
I often have to watch the Main Menu for some time to ensure no recording is currently in progress (waiting for Recording Now: to cycle around) before knowing I can safely put the HTPC to sleep.
Would it be possible please to have Recording Now: separate from Recording Soon: so that this information can be seen at a glance?
On top of this, an option to choose the number of future recordings to be shown on the Main Menu (eg. a list of the current, and the next 2) would be great.
The couple of people who use it may have already spotted the update, but this is just to say that all three icon variants of the FlatBlueHighVis skin have been updated to the 99.5 release.
If I have about two dozen shows (some reoccurring) scheduled to record at various upcoming dates / times and when I set them up initially, I chose medium quality.
Is there a way to change the quality setting of those upcoming recording to high short of re-scheduling all those recordings?
We're using v0.99.5 of GBPVR and are experiencing the following problem:
While watching any sort of recording, occasionally when we adjust the volume GBPVR will quit unexpectedly back to the Windows desktop. The Recording Service and GBPVRTray.exe continue working fine.
The problem happens usually after a few adjustments to the volume, not immediately as soon as the volume button is first pressed.
We're using an MCE remote control with the direct GBPVR support (no HIP) and the MS drivers.
The Volume Control option in Config is set to "Master Volume". Changing this does not seem to prevent the problem.
Entire GBPVR folder is excluded from Symantec Antivirus realtime protection.
The following error appears in GBPVR.EXE.LOG (all logs also attached to this post):
Code:
4/01/2007 10:55:16 a.m..046 ERROR [1] System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

2 sources, not the same card (see my sig line). Can I prioritize which card is used for recording? One is HD, one is SD. Thing is, the HD is the one that grabs the recordings, and right now my antenna is disconnected, so I need to make the SD card take the calls for a while. I guess I could remove the HD device, but I can see where in the future I might want to tell the system which one is preferred.
It appears to transcode the main movie in ARMAAN\video_ts to a 5gig mpg and the little "xdvd is running" green box lights up (but the movie never plays).
If I hit "Play" during this process the little green box switches off (indicating that gbpvr is affecting vlc.exe somehow) and the vlc.exe process disappears.
If I remove all three playmvp batch files from the gbpvr directory (which appear to contain the vlc.exe command line) hitting play still kills the green light and the transcode...indicating that something is between gbpvr and the batch (that still knows to kill vlc)...if I change all of the playmvp batches to echo %1 %2 %3 >> somefile nothing ever echos...which makes me think that it is dieing before the batch is launched...
I am hoping someone knows where else to look?
My settings.xml is this (btw) that's the first obvious choice...maybe I am missing something dumb like a colon or something (?):
During the Christmas holiday, I managed to get a machine dedicated as an HTPC setup and running - cudos to GBPVR for making it simple and painless! (Tried Myth, and MediaPortal with no luck). (v99.5)
I do have a question regarding Transcoding though - can't seem to find an answer in the Wiki or the forum. Do I need to install anything else to get Transcoding to work? i.e. do I need additional encoders installed?
Haven't tried it yet, but I thought I'd check if there's additional software that I need.
