  99.5 Capture Source #1 Sleeping
Posted by: grumpa - 2007-01-04, 10:35 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

When my PC starts, GBPVR 99.5 loads and the system tray icon shows "Capture Source #1 Sleeping". Under 98.13 the icon was always the big "G". Using Hauppauge PVR2 USB2 ... is this expected, and has this changed with 99.5, or have I missed a setting? Thank you.

I need to check if a specific process has focus
Posted by: idkpmiller - 2007-01-04, 09:38 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (4)

Hi,

I have a problem I have struggled with for more than two days now and cannot seem to get around I am sure its possible I just have not worked it out yet :-(

I have an application that has been launched by the plugin and I can receive a key from a remote and translate that into a set of keys that need to be sent to the previously launched application. I use SetForeGroundWindow to send the launched application back to the front and then I have tried various methods to send the key sequence to the launched application. sendkeys doesnt seem to work at all.

However I have had some joy with SendInput; in that if I send the keys with the KeyDown and never do a KeyUP then the application receives them over and over.... :-(

I therefore believe it is a timing issue, I send the launched application to the foreground but I have no way (currently) of checking if it is there yet before I send my keys to it. I therefore am working on the premise that I require a way of checking if the launched application is the focused/foreground application, looping until it is and then sending my key sequence. I have tried GetForeGroundWindow but to be honest I got completly in a mucking fuddle.

Anybody got some help or a snip of code they could offer?

Thanks

Using the "Don't record duplicates(zap2it)" option.
Posted by: jodajen2 - 2007-01-04, 08:48 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I am using the "Don't record duplicates(zap2it)" option on the Misc tab in the gbpvr config. I can't seem to make it work. I record the same episode an unlimited number of times. I thought previously that it was because I had remove the mpg but it does it even when the previously mpg is still in the folder. Is there a way for it to work even if i delete a episode? I am guessing a database of items that it has recorded anytime in the past. I that would be the best option for me but if I can get it to stop recording the same episode even on the same day that would be excellent.

Thanks for any help.

  Client (or Server) Problem
Posted by: bigbus01 - 2007-01-04, 08:22 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Sub,

99.05 has been working great up until I added a card to my server PC. Once I did this, the PC reinstalled the drivers for my two TV cards (ATI AIW and HDTV Wonder). I had to do a full reinstall of GBPVR on the server. Since doing this, I cannot get to the TV Guide, Search, or Recordings, and Live TV doesn't work.

For the TV Guide, the client PC keeps asking me to setup channels and EPG. For Recordings and Search, it says that it can't open the database. I checked my firewall, etc., and I shared my devnz folder. I can't figure out what else to try. It is like this with or without a new install on the client.

Here are my logs.

Thanks,

Bigbus

  Problems with AVI-playing in 99.5
Posted by: mila06 - 2007-01-04, 07:07 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

Everything seems to be fine after upgrade from 98.13 except from playing AVI-files.

They doesn't use full screen anymore, and is moved to the left side of the screen. No problems when playing recordings(mpeg-files)

  Error trying to play MP3s
Posted by: huck - 2007-01-04, 06:21 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I haven't used GBPVR for music playing in a long time and decided to crank it back up (used to work great). Now I get an error when trying to play any mp3. However, I can't see the error message because a "audio player" looking app pops up on the screen and covers up the error message. I've attached the screen shot for your reference. I just upgraded to 99.whatever and live tv, recordings, etc all seem to work fine. Whether I use the built in Music Library plugin or MusicLibrary2 plugin I get the same error. It hangs GBPVR and I have to close the app and restart. Logs are also attached in case they help anyone. Thanks a lot to anyone who can help!!

  Installation problem
Posted by: rlm - 2007-01-04, 05:54 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

This is my first attempt with GB-PVR so I am a newbie. After install and set up I can't open Live TV, it causes a fatal exception everytime. I have AMD 4400+ dual core, 2GB memory, Epox 9NPA+Sli MB with Fuzion 7300 GS nVidia graphics card. TV Wonder elite is the capture source and I installed the latest drivers. I unistalled the ATI software (not the drivers) and selected the wonder elite from the capture source dropdown and set it as device 1. I subscribed to zap-2it and successfully downloaded the channel line-up. Despite this, it crashes everytime I try to open Live TV. When viewing channels from TV Guide, if I click on "watch" the same thing happens. I did install netframe as well.

I failed to mention I use XP Pro. I have Norton System Works with Norton antivirus. I saw a post indicating there are some compatibility issues with some antivirus programs. I also have Nero and Pinnacle Studio 9 which I thought might potentially conflict. One other thought, could there be residual files from the ATI software (GuidePlus, CyberTV, etc.) causing conflicts?

Thanks.

Exception Information Code: 0x0000005 Flags:0x0000000 etc. Any thoughts.

  PVR-150/PVR-250 question
Posted by: ScottMaximus - 2007-01-04, 05:51 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I'm wondering whether the PVR-150 supports American closed captions like the PVR-250 does.

The 150 is cheaper and better than the 250 but I need closed caption support!

  ffmpeg.exe or ZProcess.exe ???
Posted by: zehd - 2007-01-04, 04:39 AM - Forum: ZTools and UltraXMLTV - Replies (7)

ffmpeg.exe or ZProcess.exe ???

After having some parameters hammered out with GB-PVR's config.xml, we can now use ZProcess with a filename of ZProcess.exe (instead of ffmpeg.exe) and use ffmpeg as ffmpeg.exe (instead of fmpeg.exe)

It's always been a very confusing point for new users, and now could potentially confuse new users some more...

I'm thinking of editing the instructions to remove references to 'ffmpeg as fmpeg etc...'

But ZProcess as zprocess.exe will only work properly with GB-PVR v 99.5 and onwards.... (that's still pretty new...)

What are your thoughts....?

Also, I have read passing references to 'the docs are a little complicated'.

Any suggestions on further wiki documentation revamp?

I really appreciate the support I have received from those of you that have posted here...

And for the lurkers,... On the last wiki page, ZProcess downloads topped 300. That means there have been quite of few people trying it, and either didn't have a problem to write home about, or decided to not to continue using it...)

I find it quite rewarding to see users find ZProcess useful. Now I think the documentation is getting in the way of more people discovering, or venturing into the ZProcess...

Any suggestions.... (opening myself wide open to constructive criticism - be gentle :o )

Hope to hear from any or all of you...
