I've been using Gbpvr for a few years now and its always worked great.. I was using the hauppauge roslyn which also worked. I picked up the wintv go plus software card, and removed my roslyn. I used the wdm plugin and got that card working great.. put back in the roslyn, and with just roslyn configured, it worked, and just wintv plus configured it worked, but with both tuners installed i got nothing... sry, 4got my old user and pword...help would be greatly appreciated,,
Today I installed both the Hauppauge 150 and wireless MediaMVP. I can now see get TV programs on the PC but want to use the capabilities of GB-PVR to control recordings/playback from the TV. I'm having no luck with this. First, I'm stuck with "Update EPG". From the GB-PVR Configure, I see there is nothing under the "Capture Sources" tab but, I think, there should be. I tried:
1. Click "Add" button
1. Click button "Update EPG"
3. Response is a window called "Save EPG?" and this asks if I want to save the capture source now. I click OK and am told I need to first set up the EPG source.
This is where I get stuck. I don't know what to do now.
Can anyone tell me if I'm on the right track to getting this set up properly?
If I'm not on the right track, what should I do. I did turn off Hauppauge 150 but what now??
I just reinstall gvpvr and now I am getting this error message.
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
In .98.13 I had no problems, video looks fine. However after installing .99.5 (clean install) .avi files playback extremely pixelated through my MVP although on my computer they play clearly. .mpg files playback fine on both MVP and my computer with either version.
I went back to .98.13 just to see and all is well again. I'm assuming I'm missing a config with the new version or something else easy but...
Anyone have any ideas?
Log files didn't show anything out of the ordinary, and all was working just quality was very poor.
Over the last week I have been putting together a gbpvr box. However, I have had some difficulty recording to play back without jitter. I have spent time reading this forum and AVScience and am still confused by a number of this.
What I really want is a list of HW and SW combinations that are known to work with minimal setup for gbpvr to achieve smooth analog and HDTV recording and playback.. I think that something like this would be a great sticky for new users.
My base system is a Dell Precision Workstation 370 3.4 GHz, 1 GB Ram.
I also have a FireGL 3100 graphics card, and an Emuzed Tuner Card with XP service pack 2.
Other than the base system I am willing to change anything for combination that is known to work. The community start putting together combinations that work well together? I.E. What do the senior members of the forum use with out difficulty?
UncleJohnsBand: Updated Photo Library to handle empty or missing libraries.
UncleJohnsBand: Added ability to extend the end time, pre padding or post padding of currently recording or scheduled programmes.
This functionality is located on the Progrmme Detail page that is accessed via the Guide or Manage Recordings tabs.
Entering a - before a number will reduce the end time/padding by that amount while entering a + or no sign at all will increase the end time/padding of the recording.
UncleJohnsBand: Added ability to set a reminder for shows.
This functionality is located on the Progrmme Detail page that is accessed via the Guide or Manage Recordings tabs.
Setting a reminder for a show will cause a Reminder Message to appear at the top of EWA (where the server time is).
The reminder will appear x amount of minutes before the show start time. The reminder minutes are set on the Config tab.
UncleJohnsBand: Added ability to set default start time when accessing the Guide.
The Guide Start Time is set on the Config tab.
UncleJohnsBand: Added ability to sort the Tree View in Search and Manage Recordings by Original Air Date - ZapTools Users Only.
