I have the MCE remote with the (253) Hauppauge 500MCE kit. The system recognizes the reciever only because I found 3 files I needed from you guys mentioning them. But it doesnt work with gbpvr. When I installed gbpvr it said to set the remote and restart the IR software. I downloaded the IR software with a wintv program from Haup, but it never worked and always errored. Now everytime I restart the computer it looks for a driver for the remote and I can't get it to work with gbpvr. Can anyone either send me the files or walk me through how to get a MCE remote to work with XP Pro. I am in dire need to make this work. Also I used the LNA tool with the Haup card and it fixed the crappy reception, too bad they don't include it when you buy the card. Can anyone please help me?
I have a single Divx encoded file that doesn't want to play well with GBPVR. It plays well with any other program (Windows Player, VLC, etc.) but when I play it in GBPVR it burns through the CPU usage and won't play smoothly (audio plays normally, but video skips terribly). Every other Divx video I have plays well on GBPVR! Help Please!
Edit: Plus, while playing, GBPVR becomes unresponsive.
I just got a new tv tuner card today, and i need to record 2 shows that come on at the same time tonight, but 1 is on regular cable, and the other is through my digital cable box. My question is----how do i make sure that the correct card is chosen by gbpvr to record the correct show, since only the card plugged into the digital cable box can record the show i want off of there. I think i remember hearing that gbpvr goes in order of how the cards were installed, and that if 1 is busy, it's moves to the next one......if this is true, and the card for the digital box is the 1 i allready have installed, can i just set the start time for the digital recording ahead of the regular cable recording, in which case gbpvr will use the digital card first and when the 2nd recording comes up it will use the new card i just got????
OK, this is obviously a daft question since I've searched and searched the forum/wiki/etc and can't find an answer... but can someone explain how to map my DVB-T digital channels to the XMLTV channels I've imported?
For example in the following screenshot I want to map the digital channel "BBC ONE" to the XMLTV channel "BBC1 London & South East" but I can't find any way of doing so.
Is there some sort of magic button/keypress I need to find to make this happen? I've tried right-clicking (everywhere), dragging and dropping etc etc and just cannot find a way of getting these channels mapped.
Hi can anyone explain to me why my listings was showing up twice in GBPVR Ver .98.13?? If the second set were clicked on it would cause GBPVR to crash. This isn't as important as the fact that my listings would disappear by early afternoon even though I noticed they were missing and updated in the morning?? I've just updated to the latest XMLTV 3.06 and reinstalled GBPVR and it hasn't made a difference. I can't see anthing in the logs, would someone mind giving me a hand with this?? Live TV works fine, and it's a pvr350.
Cheers.
I decided to retry GBPVR after rebuilding my system, yet still have a problem
I've got a Freecom DVB-T using bda drivers, I've tried freecom's official bda drivers and 3rd party drivers.
It misses half of the channels when scanning, even if set to do a full scan of all regions, out of the channels detected it will then only collect the dvb-epg for 6 of the channels and even then takes some time
I've tried other software and they all work perfectly - they pickup every channel and and have the dvb-epg straight away without any problems.
Has anyone had any success with this DVB-T under GBPVR or not
Just dropping in a skin for the RSS plugin for the Nuoro and Sassari skins. I use the RSS reader all the time and felt it was time to make it look half decent in Nuoro. Taking the excellent work from Danka on the BlueMCE2 skin and integrating it into Nuoro. Considering I had no documentation, it was fun, but I don't expect this to be as polished and spot on as it could have been given my lack of experience, hence I didn't want to mess with the BlueMCE2 settings too much.
First off, can somone please move the above thread to the ZProcess sub-forum... Thanks
Anyway, the person who posted the above thread was unable to have ZProcess play a second video. I just wanted to hammer out the transcode concept some more. Maybe something has changed in GBPVR...
OK. ZProcess has been around for a bit, but to reiterate, ZProcess is a front-end for ffmpeg. It acts as a go between for GBPVR and ffmpeg.exe when someone wants to view an avi file on an MVP. It does that by faking out GBPVR to think IT is ffmpeg.exe...
Anyway, the way I understand it,
1 User asks the MVP to play xyz.avi.
2 GBPVR knows it can't play avis, calls ffmpeg to transcode on the fly to mpg
3 serves the mpg to the mvp. User 'thinks' he's watching an avi...
During #2, GBPVR asks ffmpeg to make a temp mpg named after the MVP and it's mac address. Let's call that mvp1234.mpg. It's created in the recordings folder.
On the first transcode, while watching the movie, the transcode progress can be watched. The right number keeps increasing until it gets to the end... When the movie first starts, the 'end time' starts at around 10 secs but tries to keep ahead of the current location pointer.
On the second movie, the end time is the length of the PREVIOUS movie... In theory, the end time should be zeroed out again because we are starting a new transcode. But instead it's getting the end time from the pre-existing mvp temp file (I think)..
In previous versions, GBPVR used to wait for the new MVP1234.mpg to be recreated, before it attempt to serve it to the MVP (I think)
But now, I think GBPVR is seeing a preexisting MVP1234.mpg file and starting to serve that, despite ZProcess/FFmpeg furious attempt to crank out the new MPG during that 5500 Transcode Pre-Delay.
The result is, I think, GBPVR thinks it playing one file, but when ZProcess/FFMpeg starts transcoding, the rug gets pulled out from under GBPBR and it drops to the Video plugin screen...
Is that the case? Should I write logic into ZProcess to delete any preexisting mvp1234.mpg right at the start, and then start transcoding the new file?
I am in the process of adding the ability to view your photos via EWA. I have it working fine in IE but now that I am testing with FireFox my images will not display.
Here is the line of code that I am using to set the image control on the page:
i have been using addepisode for 3 months now. i love this utility.
the only problem i have is that i have 4 tuner cards. when i first installed addepisode i had 3 cards. when i added the fourth card i noticed that some of the recordings were not being renamed. i have found that card number 3 is the card that the shows are not being renamed on. this card is the last one that i installed.
i have not found any other problems like this in the forums.
