I have two stations that use the exact same channel numbers. On V4 it would list all the channels after the scan and I could manually edit the list. Or I could do a manual scan by frequency. With V5 it is hiding one of the stations and I cannot fix it in the setup. Is there any plan to add manual scanning back to V5?
One of the sites I use had a cert. expire yesterday and NextPVR will not open the stream. The log reference is not clear (and the inner exception is not logged)

but if I open the m3u8 with a browser or curl I can see it.
My IPTV provider frequently updates his M3U file, adding and removing channels and changing group assignment. All my IPTV client apps that download the m3U directly from the source (not via NPVR) get the new M3U and display the updated channel lists.
However, my NextPVR Linus server keeps providing the old saved channel list to all NPVR clients.
The "Update M3U" button in the web administration console (at: localhost:8866/settings.html) does not seem to work. It opens a big black window but is not updating the channels.
If I add a second IPTV device with the same source it downloads the current m3u and xmltv files but the channels are added to the existing ones. I can merge the files but what I'm looking for is an automatic refresh of the m3u file and sources, just like the timed refresh of the TV guide.
Is there a linux command to force NPVR to reload m3u url's?
What is the frequency of IPTV device source refresh?
Is there a built-in timed refresh (for example every 24 hours)?
If the only way is to add a new source, download the M3U file and auto merge the channels - will the old recording timers stay on and record from the correct chanels?

Is there a possibility to use the Server Side CI from the DigitalDevices OctopusNET?
From my understanding only the non standard paramerter x_pmt would be needed at the rtsp url.
Or with a different approach, is it possible to manually add rtsp stream urls as custom channels?
Like:
rtsp://@192.168.xxx.xxx/?src=1&freq=11302&pol=h&msys=dvbs2&sr=22000&pids=0,108,2920,2925,2921,2922,18,17,16&x_pmt=108
Which works at least for VLC to show encrypted channels.
I have NextPVR server running on a Win10 machine. For EPG, I have a script that runs under a daemon on my QNAP NAS in a linux container that updates an xmltv file that is available on my local network. NPVR is unable to read from this xmltv file from the network location. In the logs the error is that the file isn't found. I can confirm that the network location is correct. Pasting directly into windows file explorer brings it right up. I have also created a windows network mapped drive and passed on the local mapped drive letter with the same results. This all smells very much like a permissions issue, but I can't see where it is getting hung up. The NAS folder that the file is shared with is public on the network requiring no user authentication. On top of that, I have additional credentials set in windows for a valid user for the NAS.
I know the xmltv file is valid. When I copy it locally, NPVR reads it just fine.
Any suggestions to point me in the right direction?
I've entered into the epg setting two urls to download TV xml from xmltv.co.uk in the giude section of settings
then I've specifically mapped certain channels to xml in the channels section of settings and selected xml source
but no info appears in the guide for these channels (the only real guide info is those from EIT terrestrial i.e OTA guide)
I know those channels are in the xml file because I have downloaded it separately and opened it in text editor- to deduce further I d need to know where that file is saved in the nextpvr folders? or is it read internally from the url source and there is no xml file saved??
I noticed in another post of a similar nature someone talked about looking at the logs and their lack of epg entry was caused by a malformed xml.
The xmls from xmltv.co.uk work with other systems (tvheadend/tvmosaic) so I dont believe it is that
I know one can download the logs in a zip file - this Ive done and looked at them all but they dont seem to tell me anything although they do have lots of timed entries about 0200am when the epg is supposed to be updated
the only reference to epg is in many lines of each device/tuner log saying "got GET request: /stream/epg"

where in the logs (which log file?) can I find what its doing and why its not loading the specific channel info?
ill add the container script below to see if i missed something. i have 2 hdhomerun tuners a 4 and 2 stream versions. i can get it to channel scan fine and merge them together.
I have two issues
1. when i pull epg data from schedules direct the guide is not updating.
2. then i view a channel in the web gui nothing happens.
I added the webui port in advanced as i was not sure where to put it in the container xml as i coppied most of it. Thanks in advanced for any and all help with this.
It would be really useful to be able to schedule an Advanced recording, even when there is no matching show within the EPG.
I've recently reinstalled, and for various reasons, my existing configured recordings didn't transfer. I'm not looking to troubleshoot that now...
But, I want to set up a few of the recordings I know will be coming up over the next few months, but don't exist in the EPG currently.
For example, "I'm A Celebrity" - it's not on currently, and I generally don't follow news about when it's on, but I want it recorded every day when it is on... I did of course previously have a recording scheduled with the V4 install, so year on year, it just rolled round and recorded it.
This will also allow me to set up a schedule for a new show if I hear about it being made and it sounds interesting, but don't know when it's going to come out. Like setting up a little surprise for myself in the future!
