Hey everyone,
I'm currently in the process of creating a plugin for this great application.
I need to store some sort of identifier about a show in order to check it's start time. This will happen many times so I need to be able to keep track of this show regardless of EPG Updates.
Would anyone be able to help me with this?
Hopefully I have explained this well enough, if not please let me know and I will try to explain more clearly.
I need recommendations for an OTA ATSC tuner (HD only) and video card to replace ATI analog PVR.
I want a set of components that are stable with GBPVR and can handle both 1080i and SD TV. Here's my proposed hardware list...
MSI RX480 Neo2 motherboard with onboard sound (TOSLINK out)
Altlon 64 3200+ CPU w/ 1G RAM
1G RAM
GeForce 7600 GT / 256MB
Cat's Eye DTA-150 tuner (two actually, for dual recording)
I chose the GeForce 7600 because it has both s-video (for my current SD TV) and DVI (for my next HD TV) and it's cheaper than a comparable ATI card like the X1800 GTO.
I chose the DTA-150 because it's digital only and cheap ($69). I don't need analog tuning.
Ideally I like to hibernate my PVR computer after scheduled recordings are done and wake-up just before the next one.
I read here that it is a complex thing to do, therefore my approach is
this:
I like to make a (bat, or AutoIt) program that shutsdown my PVR computer
when it is doing nothing but after 02:00 and wakeup at 17:55 each day.
How can I detect a recording activity on a remote computer ?
using sysinternals PSLIST shows all processes, but process GBPVRRecordingService is always listed, idle or active ?
Since 0.98.08b detected commercials were showed as dark green on the progress bar while in playback.
New version 0.98.13 (You did a very good job indeed) wonât show commercials tags. I've not deeply investigated but seems nothing is wrong in the log files.
Have I missed something (a new feature like 999)?
No log attached because yesterday night was really too late, or early in the morning, it depends
GBPVR was the first program I installed when bought PVR150 to record TV shows half a year ago, and from the very beginning it was working very smoothly.
Then I tried MediaPortal, and liked its flexibility, features, and rich interface, but it was quite unstable on my HTPC, TV guide was difficult to set-up, TV recording feature was not as intuitive, handy, and reliable as in GBPVR, it couldn't skip commercials automatically... I was tired of all those problems and finally returned back to GBPVR. But now I miss the features of MediaPortal.
I'm trying to improve the functionality with plugins, but cannot find those, which would fully meet my requirements. So far I've found TV Listings, which seems like a good replacement for the standard TV Guide; XRecord to work with recordings (though I still don't get how to make it download icons for TV shows automatically, and it would be also helpful if it could pick up other recorded files in the Recordings folder, even though they are not in the database - as VideoArchive does). The standard Video Library is good enough for video files. But I cannot find a good replacement for Music Library and Photo Library. Actually I just need the standard ones to be improved a little bit - be able to skip/ffwd/rewind the songs being played, and have more control on the photo viewer (set the delay for the slide show, disable thumbnail generation, etc). I'm also looking for a better DVD player plugin, if any - with autoplay and other features.
What can you recommend as a replacement for the mentioned plugins, and maybe some other "must have" ones?
I've tried to install EWA as instructed. I stop the Recording Service, delete the all the files except the BIN folder, and in the Bin Folder I delete AjaxPro2.dll and the ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll As instructed.
I've then extracted the content of the Zip file to the Web folder.
When I re-enable the Recording Service, GBPVR reinstalls the orginal files (The ones i've deleted), and I can't get the EWA to work.
When I try to get to the address of the Web Server, I get the following error thru explorer:
I've tried this three times, with the same result every time.
Any advice will be appreciated.
I recently fixed the "timestamp" bug on my PVR150 and ever since then my system screen shows up blank. When I click on "System" it takes me to the same screen it always has, however instead of listing the version number and free space there is just a big black nothingness. Anyone had this problem?
Thanks for the new version, sub. It installed with no problems but I have noticed that whem playing video or live tv on the PC, there is no response to mouse clicks on the OSD (ch change or exit).
