I'm updating to the most recent version of TheaterListing and have a question about automatic updating. With the old version, I had a line in Postupdate.bat that would run GetListings.exe. Thus my movie data was updated automatically each day just after GBPVR's EPG was updated.
I now see, in the latest version of the plugin, that GetListings.exe code has been merged into the plugin code and an "update" feature has been added to the configuration dialogue box. It seems that I need to set a time for the update, but I'd just like it to update after the EPG has finished rather than a set time. Can this be done?
Some question I have are: What happens if the TheaterListing update is set to the same time as the wake-up for GBPVR's EPG updating? Would there be a conflict? Do I need to remove the old line from Postupdate.bat and the Getlistings.exe file?
This weekend I will be going back to Uni, and a new house. It will take a while to get things like the internet setup so will be most likely be away from the forums for a few weeks. I'm sure questions about my plugins can be answered by the community, in particular fatman_do for the SkinPlugin and fla for the Volume OSD plugin.
would be nice to have the same functionality that the vertical-menu skins have, where the mouse wheel scrolls up/down, but instead would scroll left/right...i could be missing something that enables this now, but thus far haven't found it.
Has there been any update as to the feasability of this card PVR 150 NTSC recordng/viewing/playback of closed captions, many of the older posts confirm no way, but I am wondering if the latest drivers have been updated or fixed. I understand there is a workaround using the card with MCE 2005, but i don't want to go that route
Hi sub,
I use external hard drives for my video libraryâs.
With 96.12, if I accessed a drive that was off-line it would allow me to back out of the empty folder and choose another.
v98.8 displays âCould not find a part of the pathâ and locks the video library until gbpvr is restarted.
And a reminder about the missing date-sort / green button.
Jim
Background (please excuse the length of this post):
* I updated to from 97.13 to 98.08 tonight (clean install -- I had frustrating problems that developed in the earlier version)
* Firefly Remote: I had copied a GBPVR XML file from the Snapstream forum and adapted it to to work very well for my use of GBPVR (the original basically mapped GBPVR keyboard conmmands to the FireFly buttons)
* The 98.08 update went well and GBPVR is working (with no added plug-ins). However, the pause, skip, back skip, buttons on the firefly remote no longer work - they worked fine before. Most other buttons that I have tried still seem to work -- I can enter a section, navigate with the curser keys, enter an action, exit to last screen, etc.
* Have the Keyboard Commands been changed? I have had trouble accessing the Wiki so I cannot compare the current entry to my downloaded version of the Keboard Reference (could not get to it at all for most of the day, but can now get in but cannot access any further pages). * If I can get an up to date Keyboard Reference, I will update the Firefly XML file and, if it works ok, post it for others to use.
* I would also be willing to write or update a WIKI section if there is any interest * NOTE: Main advantages of the FireFly remote for me are, that it is USB Based, relatively low cost (mine was a NewEgg bargain deal), 2.4Ghz RF so it works to about 25 ft and through walls, and is easy to move from computer to computer, depending where you are (I have a networked computer connected to a TV on all three level of my condo)
OK, I think I'm now aware that AVI format is a "container" that there are a few quite different format codecs (MPG etc.) used inside an AVI file but why do small video files from my Digital Camera play back jerky with audio out of sync in all of WMP, Videolan, and Mediaplayer classic, when an DivX/Xvid AVI file has no such issues.
Does my PC simply not have enough grunt for this? They play back OK on my Digital camera (albeit much smaller, so I guess this may a reason).
I have a video folder in my Video directory and when trying to view it thru the MVP, my computer gets the ActiveMovie Window on the taskbar and I can hear the movie but can't view it on the MVP or the computer. I've never seen this before and can find very little info on this. Are there settings or can this be messed with at all?
The site states "The Neuros OSD is the first open source, Linux-based, embedded media center. It records video from any source and links your PC, entertainment center, and portables."
They are encouraging "hackers" with financial rewards to come up with various solutions like a Flickr browser, pda controlled music player etc.
Doesn't have a built in tuner but it does have a fully functioning USB port that might take a USB tuner? Anyway - just thought it was interesting.
