I am trying to get the s-video in to work so i can hook up my STB to GBPVR. My two analog tuners work fine but GBPVR seems not accept the s-video in. In the capture source configuration when I set the Board number to 1, i get "Error: Cannot play back file" or something close to that. When I have board 2 selected, I get just a grey screen with nothing on it. And yes when I plug my STB directly into my TV it works just fine. i have attached log for both board 1 and 2. thanks.
Update: The analog tuner that is on board 1 with the digital inputs also gives me the error cannot playblak file message. And since the FM is also on this board it will not tune stations either. The odd part is everythig on board one worked fine a week or two ago. Does sanyone have any ideas?
I'd really like to be able to pull in the latest image of a hurricane tracking. I live in a state that every hurricane season we're going to http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ and clicking refresh to see where it's heading next.
I put in their RSS in the news feeds, but it's only text and it's pretty much useless text. I'd love to see any images like the one for dilbert comics and I've been searching for awhile and can't find anything. It would be nice if it was part of the weather plugin as well.
Maybe I'm just asking for too much and I need to get my lazy but up or open up a browser and just hit refresh now and then.
I've used daemon-tools and alcohol for at least 5 if not 10 years, so it's not that I don't understand the software, it's how it works with GB-PVR. Does GB-PVR allow you to mount and unmount ISO images from within the software, if so how would I be able to do this?
In windows I mounted a DVD ISO and if I select the menu DVD from GB-PVR it says there's no DVD and I'm assuming that it's because it's only looking at my real DVD player and not the virtual one.
While in myvideo 3 release canidate 2 I browsed to an ISO image, but if I click on it nothing happens. If I go back to windows and mount the image and then click it while in GB-PVR it will play, but it has a white flickering at the bottom of the screen. While I have one ISO mounted I tried browsing with myvideos and selecting another ISO and if I do it will play the one that I mounted manually. If I don't mount anything manually then the screen just sits there blank.
I'm assuming that what I'm trying to do the software is able to do this. The reason is that I asked a question about alcohol in a previous post and also the gb-pvr software seems to ask about daemon-tools, which seems that the parameters would get passed. If nothing is passed then it shouldn't care if I use alcohol, a real DVD or daemon-tools....right?
First of all this is really amazing software. I can't imagine how much work went into it.
I just have a slight issue. I searched for threads relating to the OSD and video stutter that may occur and tried everything I could think of. Whenever I have something like the miniguide open, the video and audio has a stutter every 3 seconds or so on live tv.
I tried the quartz fix, changing to overlay mode, using the minize OSD mode and changing the codecs but I can't seem to get it work. When checking the cpu utilization when the stutters occur there are no spikes at all. Utilization is at a constant of 35% - 40%. I was wondering if there are any other suggestions I could try? Maybe its my machine specs:
In preparation to my move to V97 of GBPVR, I made an updated version of "MaxRecordings"...
This to augment my updated RecordingUtils.dll (to run CDK Scheduler, part of XRecord)....
This version will ONLY work on V97 and above (using .NET 2). It should work with both SQLite and MSAccess, but I haven't been able to test very well...
If I get some positive responses, I'll add the archive to the Wiki....
Anyhow, here's both the executable and the source-code...
Ok, I've searched the forums, done the google thing, switched settings in gbpvr back and forth for over a week now. I'm stumped. HELP!
First some background. I have installed the PVR-350 in a Sony PC that has a mid-grade video card (intel onboard). I'm using it to replace my Tivo unit which got fried in an electrical storm and Tivo no longer offers the life-time programming (but that's another story). I'm new to this PVR stuff but have decent PC skills. I first tried BeyondTV, then SageTV and now GBPVR. I like GBPVR because of the cool plug-ins, skins, etc.
The problem I'm having is I don't get any on-screen menus on the TV-OUT. For example I can't navigate The "Live TV, Recording, etc" menu because it doesn't show up on the TV (I can on the pc). When I play a recorded show and press pause, ffwd, etc I get a light blue box on the TV screen (about 1/3 the size of the TV) but no on screen information. btw - This same light blue box appears on the TV when I have nothing playing (So my assumption is that is what is being rendered as the menu).
When I had SageTV installed I got full menu on the TV, so I know it can work. I can get recordings to play on the TV from no problem, but the menu structure is only showing on the PC. I don't want to have to have a PC monitor up and running next to the TV just to navigate the menus.
I keep getting this error when i try to watch abc1 via tv guide or live tv button. I have tried changing the config setting to preview live TV however i have had the problem where i just get the black screen when i do this as a few other people have had. All the other channels work perfect its just abc1. after looking at the config it says something about the recorder being in use but its not because i can view other channels. The only reason i can think of that could cause this error only on this channel is that i have eight simple rules set to series record. i have a kworld dvb-t 300u and v0.97.13 of gbpvr if these help. Thanks everyone for all the help you have given me on settting up gbpvr so far.forgot to say this is via freeview in UK.
